Rumors going around right now that the Canes are shopping Svechnikov. They also are trying to move the first round pick either back in the draft or in a bigger move. Additionally the Canes appear to be the front runners for Ehlers

I'd be surprised if they made the draft pick, I'm honestly expecting it to get traded.

He's reporting to the team tomorrow with his family and the press conference is set for Sunday.

Rumor is it was both Philly and Charlotte he told not to draft him. Also his agent tried to tell Utah as well but they didn't care.

He doesn't have the athleticism to play in the NBA. He had the worst numbers of anyone who worked out in this draft. He's legitimately the least athletic player in this draft, which is saying something. His ceiling is Kyle Korver, with his lack of athleticism he's more likely to be out of the league in 5-6 years like Jimmer Fredette.

The least athletic player in this draft at #4 is god awful. Yes his numbers back up that he's the least athletic player in this draft.

Even with the shooting ability, he's worthless. He has no athleticism at all, that's a bench player at best.

With what was available, you had to take the swing or trade back. Kon wasn't worth taking with the 4th pick and wasn't in my top ten. He's at best a 6th man type player on a really good team. You either trade back or take Ace at 4.

If they traded back it's for maluach. The interest in kon is wildly overstated. It's either Bailey or VJ at 3 or a trade back for Maluach.

It was purely a salary dump with the biggest piece going to Vegas was a 3rd. Seems dead for now though. Dunno if Hertl vetod the trade with his move clause or not.

Tulsky out on Marner since he wants short term. So trying to facilitate a trade with either Vegas or Dallas to help them clear space to sign Marner. Vegas would be Hertl and Dallas would be for Robertson. Either deal is contingent on the other team being confident enough that they will be the team to win the Marner sweepstakes. Edit to add: Vegas deal seems 95% likely to happen shortly. A few Wolves players and draft picks for Hertl the current deal.

I have Charlotte trading back to 7 with the Pelicans and drafting Maluach. Williams getting traded and Alvarado coming back along with other pieces. Hornets front office really like Maluach and he seems to be the target they want but not at 4.

Elhers is going to cost around 8-9m AAV based on reports.

I think he fits, he's a two way player and had over or around 50 hits last season. Also I'm just going off what I heard. I can say he's definitely the top target FA wise, there are others via FA and trades that are also high on the list. They will go through the top players at every position and run the phones ragged trade wise.

From someone that told me about the Walker and Ghosty signings last off-season. Burns would not be on first pair. Would be with Nikishin on 2nd pair, if Nikishin is able to learn the language enough to make the team. Also Canes will definitely offer Marner and the team has already talked to his agent. Expected offer/rate it will take to sign him will be 13AAVx7 years.

Looks like Burns will be back on a 1 year deal at a lower salary.
