I belive Pickett would have the smallest hands of a qb drafted in the first round since Vick.
-
Going off winning in college is a silly thing, because you wouldn't have drafted Mahomes, there's others too that have been drafted high with a loosing record. If your team's defense sucks and it costs the team games, not a lot the QB can do about that. Othwerwise Howell would be looked at different. Multiple GWD, stats in the second half+OT are much better. :Completion % is higher, QBR is higher, td to int ration is higher.. ext

Post Mortem on the Watson Trade (from Albert Breer)

I think that was a stipulation for any team that got him. Protects him against suspension. Glad we didn't do it though cause that's insane -

If the leaks are correct about them reaching back out to the Panthers and asking for the guaranteed contract, he gave Carolina a shot to get him. -
Yep. bit out of it lately since the heart issues started. Just ignore. Lol

At least not any from the NFC east... Not that I saw anyways.

Would you have taken Lamar Jackson in the draft? 25 fumbles in 3 seasons. What about Daunte Culpepper? Josh Allen? Michael Vick? Those guys all have/had fumbling problems in the NFL. Would you draft Mahomes because his hands were small?
-
The 38 and 26 are for all the years he was at Pitt. In 2021 he had 3 fumbles and no fumbles lost.
-
I'd put the odds of the pick being Pickett or Willis at like 90%, maybe higher than that.
-
Yea they really like mills at qb. I expect them to use their draft picks to fill the team out around him.
-
Unless Willis is just absolutely spectacular at his pro day. I think Pickett just solidified his top ten pick status with Carolina taking him 6th. Willis might just do the same thing tomorrow and make this decision difficult, but most likely he falls to Atlanta and gets taken 8th.
-
Their gonna have to take one of them at 6, furthest they could probably drop back is 8th and that's likely a jump up for a QB. So yea it's gonna happen and it's gonna happen at 6. Only way it doesn't happen is if one of the top 2 ot fall to them.
-
Don't think you can get Pickett or Willis in the teens and definitely not in the 20's. All the teams from 6 to 10 need a qb. Then a few in the low teens. If Pickett is first off the board he's going between 5-9. Willis not far behind him.
-
No i doubt they would because they trying to get another ring, only reason Brady is coming back. Burrow and Herbert are in that group that have the potential to get there. Gotta see Burrow stay healthy and do it again. Herbert made a big jump in year two and played lights out and if they can keep it up, would definitely make the jump up to the top tier of NFL QB's. Part of being that high is consistency imo.

Matty Water to the Colts for a 3rd rounder.

Panthers would just take Willis then. -
How many franchise qbs are there in the NFL currently? Talking about a QB so good that you don't trade them no matter the deal. Mahomes Allen Brady Rodgers That's about it. Got a handful that have potential to get there. Then you got the next set of qb's that are good enough to win with if surrounded by pieces.
-
The odds of getting a superstar in any draft is usually pretty low. Solid starter, multiple pro bowl/all-pro potential... yes, superstar... ehh not as likely.
-
I think Malik's is tomorrow and they are planning on being there as well as a group. Outside of those two, not sure they are interested in anyone else at QB.
-
They'll all be at Malik Willis pro day as well
-
not that uncommon, use different techniques and you can get your hand bigger over a few months. Josh Allen did it and I'm sure there are others that have managed to do the same..so probably not that uncommon actually.

No he doesn't, A more athletic Andy Dalton wouldn't be a bad comparison tbh. I've seen some say Derek Carr with less of an arm and some say Prime Andy Dalton but more athletic, I still say take a chance on Willis. NFL combine recommendations had him rated higher then Pickett but just barely
-
It was only 3 in 2021 with no lost fumbles.
-
Most that I've seen are comparing him to Derek Carr
