Tremble would be a poor man Evans. Evans is one of the highest RAS TE's in the Modern NFL draft "since 1987, he ranks 127"
-
Was 97 on ESPN, NFL.com had a 4th-5th round grade on him.
-
Why they only start one NT and have the DE spots 2 deep on both sides.
-
RAS guy, fastest 10yrd split among the TE's in this draft. 8.95 RAS. Top 150 among all TE's since 1987.
-
And they went with the TE Evans, the fastest 10yrd split among the TE in this draft.
-
I like Mbow, Evans, Williams or Medrano here late in the fifth. If I had to lean right now, I'd say Williams or Medrano.
-
Typically yes, but he plays with really good leverage so he can pull it off. Plus the added benefit of being able to move him around the line since he fits what you traditionally look for in a 3-4 end. That said they may view him as a 3-4 end, will have to wait and see.
-
Panthers have had one of their best drafts in years this weekend.
-
Looks more like a 3-4 end, he's a big dude at 6-6 and 330lbs, but he definitely has the weight to play NT that's for sure. Probably can move him around the line as well because of that size.
-
Not likely on many if any, those draft interviews spread like wildfire especially when they are as bad as his interviews were.
-
Inside LB's... Who's left that fits a 3-4 ILB.. I don't see much left imo
-
Probably so, board didn't fall the right way for them to take one of the guys they worked out at a good value for that player.
-
Yes he can return kicks for sure. He did it at Florida
-
Good pick and he fits the offensive scheme. One cut and up zone runner, has twitch and burst, good blocker, food screen rb, decent hands with potential to get better at receiving. Definitely makes the team. Probably as a returner if he takes to it.

I've been telling everyone that it was the stuff of legends. lol

Gauging value of Panthers day 2 trades
carpanfan96 replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
That Scourton trade might be my favorite trade of the Panthers. Just for the sheer, insanity of it being a pick swap in the NFL. -
Scourton can start right away. Princely might need some time to add weight and muscle to be a full time starter but I think he can definitely be a pass rush specialist his first year. So that does give them some leeway with the current vets.

Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8
carpanfan96 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Knowing Dave like we do, probably both. Deservedly or not. -
Round 3 - Panthers Select Princely Umanmielen at Pick 77

Bot more of a project compared to Nick Scourton. Still a good possibility of him seeing snaps on obvious passing downs and in sub packages. -
Round 2 - Panthers Select Nic Scourton at pick 51

He will play OLB strong side and play at 260. He should start as a rookie and be a productive starter. -
Round 2 - Panthers Select Nic Scourton at pick 51

Thing is, he can probably come in an play immediately on the Strong side OLB for the Panthers. He's that talented already. He was just playing way too heavy at TAM. -
Round 2 - Panthers Select Nic Scourton at pick 51

He's a good rusher when he's playing at his normal play weight. Go look at his Purdue tape. He pops off the film. -
Round 2 - Panthers Select Nic Scourton at pick 51
carpanfan96 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Look more at his Purdue tape. What he's going to look like for Carolina. He added too much weight for TAM. Hurt his draft stock a lot. Had he stayed at Purdue and/or stayed at 260... He's probably a first round pick this year. -
Really liked Carolinas day two draft picks, they nailed the hell out of today and got two of the better edge rushers in this draft. I had both rated in the top 50.
-
At this point I can't argue with that at all. I thought even with the bad interviews he was worth a 3rd round pick.
