  1. This x100000 Our teams owner is doing a classy upstanding type of thing for his players. That's jt
  2. Ton of smoke amd mirrors around this time of the year but by all accounts, payton really likes the Carolina job.
  3. If you don't think that every team did this including the Panthers, I don't know what to tell you. It just happened that it was Williams doing it instead of players. It was highly common, big hits get cash. Bigger the hit the more cash. Shoot used to get helmet stickers in college for big hits and noteworthy game accomplishments. Games different now but yea. Brace yourself because Evero interview being scheduled for Wednesday and Payton Friday and all the smoke is saying Carolina.
  4. I hope not too, but that's what I'm bracing myself for. Lol
  5. It's gonna be something like 49ers 2nd round, 49ers 3rd round, 2024 first round pick.
  6. It was probably between Ben and Sean, now we should hear about Sean Friday night. If the tea leaves are right.
  7. Mike Florio just posted an article. Lol Read it if ya want. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/17/could-sean-payton-tom-brady-join-forces-in-carolina/
  8. I find that weird because Albright is a Drnver beat reporter in Denver and he said the exact opposite on his radio show tonight after Denver completed its interview with Payton.
  9. Albright is on KOA (Radio in Denver) and saying that Payton is the favorite to land Carolina Job.
  10. I'd imagine sometime before Friday in Carolina or via zoom with Nicole and Fitt
  11. I think the other factor is the trade package from Houston is apparently a 2023 2nd round, 2024 1st and a few mid to late round 2024 picks. New Orleans would definitely prefer a package from Carolina if it included 9th overall.
  12. I still think it should be Wilks as he earned the job imo, but Tepper wants Payton and yea that's that. Lol
  13. It was always Payton, the Panthers already agreed to the baseline trade package to get the interview to begin with. As soon as NO said yes to whatever the Panthers called back with (yea they had called earlier and was told no according to some NO beat reporters) he became the front runner. It's why he is meeting with David Tepper and not Nicole which is who the other coaches have met with according to rumors. Lots of smoke here. And I wanted Wilks.
  14. It's been payton for months and months if you think the rumors are correct.
  15. I don't think Tepper has been personally involved with any of them so far, this us the only one that Nicole isn't leading. Could be wrong but yea.
  16. There was an article from mid season, that Tepper's target was Sean Payton. Don't remember where but if I get time, I'll go look for it. As soon as we got permission and he said he was flying to NY for a face to face, I thought it was his job. Note, Denver had to fly to him, Houston was virtual interview..
  17. Parcels might be what most are hoping for but with a better ending. Won with the Giants and then after a few years off went back to the super bowl with NE but lost.
  18. How would anyone feel about giving up draft picks for a coach and then said coach getting a 5 year deal worth oh say 90m.
  19. I'm not sure hes been in Charlotte much since before the last home game. This just guesswork, but I think Payton is the only one meeting face to face with Tepper and that's one of the reasons I say it's his job if he wants it. Other two reasons are an article from in the middle of the season that said Tepper's top coaching target would be Payton and the Vic Fangio interview not matching the other DC interviews. Rest have ties to Seattle, Fitt and Morgan. :shrugs: could be and might be wrong about it all
  20. I might be biased as a UNC fan but he's got moxy and I think he's gonna end up being pretty good
  21. That's where Tepper is most of time if im not mistaken. Which I could be.
  22. Some of the DC candidates have ties to coaches being interviewed.
  23. Not sure if we had, but he brings the Panthers up and talks about the weakness of the NFC south and it possibly being an easier road compared to Denver.
  24. I've moved 3 times since the superbowl season, so haven't super followed the team and watched every game since. NC to Texas to NC to Illinois. Kinda hard to find the games and I'm not dropping money for gamepass.
