Add to the above, rumor is the Hurricanes have talked about getting DeBrincat. So in on Karlsson and DeBrincat right now and both would need to involve players going out.
-
Yea I think Bunting almost has to be on line 1 or 2. I still expect movement with Pesce or Skjei though. No way they pay 7.75 for 3rd pairing.

Charlotte Considering Offer Sheet For Grant Williams
carpanfan96 replied to MillionDollarCam's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Seems like Bridges doesn't wanna play with his buddy Lamelo now. Kinda weird to me, but w.e. sign and trade him, f it. Same with PJ if he doesn't want to be here either. -
Hornets Signing LaMelo Ball to Max Extension

Has to be voted to all-star again or win MVP to get the Max, otherwise it's a 5 year deal worth 205,900,000. -
Hornets Signing LaMelo Ball to Max Extension

I can answer the question for everyone. Not many currently playing or ever have played that have put up what Lamelo Ball did at 22. 7 players in the history of the NBA have averaged 25, 8 and 6 a game for a season. That goes up a few players at 23, 8 and 6 but not many. Even fewer that have done it before turning 25. To not want him here, it's crazy. -
I'm just sharing the rumors. Lol Sport books have us as the favorites to land karlsson
-
That's why I think both skjei and pesce are on the move. We aren't going to sign either one for 7+ a season.

How many players under 25 averaging 23 8 and 6? -
Idk, I've heard he's got an offer and that the canes are still going for Karlsson. Looking for a third team to take some of the salary back in a trade. Likely pesce being moved for it
-
Word is team also offered Tarasenko
-
One of those defenceman have to be moved. Ya don't pay 7.75m aav for 3rd pairing, unless they are only bringing TDA back to play the power play. That'd be weird, right.... that's just not me thinking 2.5m is a lot for just PP.
-
A little bit, not a lot though. Watched a few this past season though. Also went to the Canes game against the hawks as well.
-
Still sucks for me though, I enjoyed getting to watch them play. (I live in Northern Illinois)
-
Lol. Also probably why every pick was going NCAA or played in Russia.
-
That's the rumor right now, they have said no to retaining much if any of his contract.
-
Probably so and I don't hate it. Especially if it allows them to move one of the 2nd pairing for a goal scorer.
-
They've got to move either pesce or skjei if they still getting TDA.
-
San Jose doesn't want to retain on Karlsson deal, so Hurricanes are probably out of it.
-
One is probably gone to get Karlsson if the Canes are really in on that deal. The other will be gone for scoring.
-
Bunting adds scoring to the team as well as some nastiness, which we can all agree we needed. 112 points and 46 goals over the last two seasons is nothing to sneeze at. Orlov improves the defense no matter who he replaces on the 2nd line and he gives the team some flexibility to go after karlsson and a goal scorer.
-
He brings grit but he's also scored 63 and 49 points with 23 goals each over the last two seasons.
-
AAV is 7.75m, 2 years 15.5m deal. He's a top pair defenceman in the NHL and will be 2nd pair here in Carolina.
-
I'm excited, I said the only thing we was missing was grit and some aggressive hockey players and they went out and got some. 1 to pair with Staal and another to help replace the 2nd line d. Also likely adding TDA as well. PP should be much better just from that and they definitely not done.
-
Think both skej and pesce are gone if they are really still going after Karlsson.
