Next years cap space is also why I think they take a shot at qb this draft.
-
As it stands with out any escalations being hit, panthers have 5m in cap space roughly. That's with out any rollover, why I don't see them trading for Mayfield or Jimmy G unless they take on salary or take back Darnold. They'll need as much of that roll over as possible next year.

Jordan decides that he's gonna be Owner/GM and hires a buddy as the headcoach. <what the old Jordan would end up doing.

They really, really, really like Willis. Like most of the draft room including fit like Willis a lot and think he's a franchise qb.

KC looking to trade up into top 10.

Does that even match points wise? I don't think it's even close. They would have to throw in more picks to move into the top 10. Like future first and 2nd rounders. Lol Edit: just checked and it's the equivalent of a 2nd round pick off points wise, so yea KC would have to include more to move that far up. More likely it would be 3 first round picks both of this year's plus next and the 2nd. -
Panthers may now be hesitant to trade back...

Panthers are so taking Willis if he's there at 6. If not, they might go QB and grab Pickett or Corral. Willis is the guy though. -
Wouldn't be surprised if he stayed on to cover it and the team til it was over and then move on.

Scouts at the senior bowl (I think) also said he was one of the fastest overall players there and comparable speed wise to Murray
-
The air throw was in his pro day, but if you want to watch his play against sec. Watch his tape from 19
-
Can PJ run as fast as Murray and be around a 4.4 and throw 75 air yard throws? Let me answer that, nope he can't.

The Panthers have first round grades on 3 QBs.

I see Willis and Pickett going top ten if Detroit takes Willis, if not I can still see two going top ten if Atlanta goes QB and Carolina does at 6. But if they start dropping out of the top ten, first I see picking qb is Pittsburgh. So could possibly trade out of the top ten and still get Willis or Pickett but definitely Corral. -
Scouting reports for the top three quarterbacks
carpanfan96 replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
They're rated similar (by nfl advisory and nfl.com rating system) to Fields and Jones who went in the top 15 last year. They are all rated higher than Mahomes draf profile as well. But yes they are both rated lower than Mayfield and Darnold were by the same system. -
College vs pro accuracy really depends on what causes the issues. Is it fundamental issues with feet placement or throwing motion. One of those is much easier to fix than the other.
-
Nobody had Mahomes rated highly, even the draft advisory had him rated lower then this year's top three QB's. (Willis, Pickett, corral)

POLL: What Will It Take For You To Be OK With Keeping Rhule?

Show improvement as a coach and make the playoffs.. otherwise bye -
Yea, he's got some fundamentals that need to be tweaked for the next level. If he's thrown in immediately I'm not sure it goes well. After he's got the potential to be the best qb in this draft by far.
-
If im being honest, I don't think they could go wrong with any of the three here. You'd just have to have a different plan of attack for each of them. Willis would probably need to sit for 2 years probably, Pickett could come in and play right away most likely and Corral is a mix of both imo but would prefer to sit him for a year.
-
You won't see much throwing but you'll see him running wildcat if you look at his Auburn tape. He had about 300 rushing yards for them.
-
What's funny and why this is so hit and miss is nfl rating system they use for draft profiles had Mahomes rated lower then they have Fields from last year and all three QB's listed in the op from this draft. Lmao
-
They "meaning NFL draft advisory and NFL.com rating system" both have Pickett, Willis and Corral rating similar to Justin Fields from last year. Around 6.4 or so. Fields - 6.45 Willis - 6.41 Pickett - 6.4 Corral - 6.4 All with first round grades. Take that for what it's worth. Next gen stats from the same space has fields rated the highest with Corral 2nd, Pickett and then Willis.

Lots wanted AJ Green, Peterson, or Dareus. Me I was all Cam. Think the best pick at 6 would Willis, even though I think it's going to be Pickett.
