  1. If you think Stroud or Young is it, then you go for it. Hopefully it takes less but they need a franchise qb that can come in and start soon
  2. Doesn't matter where he's from or his ties. He took over a team and staff that hadn't won but 11 games in 2+ seasons and managed to win 5 out of 11 games with out his system, his players or coaches. That's a fantastic job of coaching a bad team that needs help in a ton of places.
  3. After the Rhule hiring and the turnaround the team had combined with the fact that he didn't have his system in place or his coaches.. You'd be foolish to think he doesn't have a very good chance
  4. It's a deeply flawed team that he took over, that has a large part of it.
  5. The defense got pressure against a very good pass protection oline. Expectations of our DE's constantly getting pressure against Brady and the Bucs was foolish cause it wasn't going to happen.
  6. 3 firsts and a 3rd to move into the top 2 most likely
  7. You are expecting too much from an edge rusher against the Bucs and Brady. 21 sacks all year with very few from the edge. Best way to disrupt Brady is to make him move into the outside rush with pressure up the middle.
  8. Speed rush sack on icky to end the season is kinda fitting since he's struggled with speed rushes all season. Sack number 7 or 8 given up on the year for him. Had that good stretch in the middle of the season though, so future is bright at least at LT.
  9. Brady is hardly ever sacked from the edge. TB given up 21 sacks counting the ones in this game all year. Got to play disciplined on the outside both at the line and deep for the CB's. Get your pressure up the middle and make him move in the pocket.
  10. Playing to his strengths, middle of the field to TE's/slots, quick flat throws, rollout/bootlegs , play action passing.
  11. Wilks is the new head coach, everyone needs to get over it. He's been fantastic so far considering what he has to work with.
  12. Pretty sure that's how Wilks wants it. Run the ball, defense and time of possession.
  13. Tony White and not Phil Snow as DC.... consider me absolutely shocked.
  14. I knew the whole thing was going south when they cut Cam and brought in Teddy.
  15. He's going to be closer to TJ Watt then Chubb. 70-80m in guarantees and 28m a season.
  16. 141m over 5 years, 36m guaranteed. Be my guess on a contract for Burns. :shrugs:
  17. Oh and based off his contract structure, Carolina still owes Rhule 12 million dollars.
  18. Not quite what's going to happen according to everything being reported today. Panthers will pay his first full year of Salary at Nebraska at least, if not more. Nebraska also had to reach an agreement with Carolina as well
  19. His Carolina contract also increased his level of attractiveness to Alberts. Rhule signed a seven-year, $62 million deal in 2020 and is owed more than $40 million through the end of the deal. Any salary paid to Rhule by his next employer is subtracted from the amount owed by the Panthers, so the program could get a relative bargain in Rhule — for the first four seasons of his deal. https://theathletic.com/3935643/2022/11/25/matt-rhule-nebraska-coaching/
  20. From the athletic article on the hiring. Says part of the reason the AD at Nebraska wanted Rhule was because of the Panthers contract making him a relative bargain the first 4 years.
  21. And because of his contract here, the Panthers are basically paying him to coach at Nebraska the first 4 years.
  22. Apparently they offered him a contract earlier in November and he turned it down, they came back this week with a bigger # and more years plus more assistant money and he accepted. I'd not be shocked if it's like 8+m a season plus 4-5m for assistants. Lol
  23. It's true, it's been announced a few times now by people close to the program.
