Carr wants a contract with an aav of 35m I find it interesting that Daniel Jones wants 45m aav.

This link covers his statement better than the other ones I've seen so far. "I hear—though it might be smoke—that none of the four wants to scotch-tape a veteran like 39-year-old Aaron Rodgers and probably not Derek Carr" https://www.google.com/amp/amp.thecomeback.com/nfl/aaron-rodgers-derek-carr-not-interested.html

To note, most of the big contracts given out so far by the Panthers over the last two years have had massive two year outs for the team. So don't take everything you see literally
-
But he didn't. A safety blew coverage on two of them.
-
I have very little doubts it will be a top 3 defense.

This is a fanfreakingtastic hire
-
It's becoming more normal for the GM to handle staff now. A few teams have hired coordinators first and made the HC work with them. I'm 100% positive it was a requirement for the Panthers hiring panel to have coordinator input for any new HC.

Mike Klis spoke with him last night and he hadn't agreed to anything with Miami at that time. -

Yea that's still the latest from last night, vic said he hadn't agreed or signed a deal yet. But Panthers didn't expect him to circle back and had moved onto other potential targets. -

I think I brought it up during the head coach search threads, but Tepper and the panel doing the hiring wanted to control Coordinator hiring. I was under the impression it was just for a young coach....but apparently it was full stop for anyone that got hired. Which is stupid and weird. -

Has any more information come out about thr Josina report and another one that said vic Hadn't signed his contract in Miami? -
I mean I don't know if rigged or not but both of the games today were horribly officiated. I mean just bad, like all time levels of bad.

Joe Person on possible coordinator candidates
carpanfan96 replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reports that Fangio deal with the Dolphins isn't finalized but Panthers don't think he'll circle back to them. Whut -
I've heard that Shaw was the favorite in Denver for a while. Also thought Houston would go with Gannon or Ryan's and Arizona would go Ryan's if Houston went With Gannon
-
Yea but Benjamin lazy route running led to Cam messing his shoulder up. That gives him a special place in 1st round pick he'll imo.

That's exactly what is happening in Indy. Front office is saying no, everyone is saying no. Jim Irsay has the final say and he wants Saturday. -
Yea that's what won him the job, he came into the second interview and went in depth and said this is who I've already interviewed and will come to charlotte with me.
-
Was talking about this in the other thread. I think we might know the staff before end of next week.

Colts Free Agency the Panthers/Reich may want to pursue
carpanfan96 replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm just telling you what they would want. They did turn down two first and a second from the Rams. It would need to be a current high pick first plus a 2024 first plus another few picks between the drafts for the Panthers to bite and even then they might ask for a third first -

Panthers view Burns as the cornerstone of the defense and have him valued at 2 first plus valuation. The first in the current draft would have to be top 10 and theyd want more than just that with out giving anything else up. That's what it will take to get Burns from Carolina. So the Bears #1 pick, plus a 3rd/4th and there 1st in 2024 plud a 4th/5th type of deal. Think Mack to the bears type of trade. -
He had already interviewed all of his preferred staff choices prior to interviewing the 2nd time. . Gotta give him credit, he's in point.

Albright and a few others are heavily expecting the Panthers to go sfter Stroud like I was saying yesterday.
