With the details of the deals today being out, counting the deal with Thompson (which i have saving the team 8m in cap space, could be even more than that actually). Panthers should still have 20m in cap space left.

Keyshawn Johnson thinks we “could” move up for Will Anderson…
carpanfan96 replied to Chad_Cota's topic in Carolina Panthers
Imagine the chaos on this board if the Panthers actually took Anderson first overall. Yeesh -
To give up that much capital to move to #1 and then release you would be willing to trade down tells me that you aren't taking someone who's gonna go 1 or 2 on most boards. I think it's AR.

It's not just about weight, it's also about playing style and other factors as well.
-
His playing weight is more 315-320 and not 300.
-
Rodgers to Jets is done per Trey Wingo. No one else is saying it's done. Weird person to break if true.
-
Chinn will be ILB and be asked to put on weight to play it. It keeps him near the line as a run stopper which he excels at and limits the deepness of his coverages

Tony Pauline: CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson
carpanfan96 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I said it before the Panthers traded up that I wouldn't be surprised if AR is the first qb taken... Still wouldn't be surprised. All 4 top qb's have major nfl ?. Richardson has the highest ceiling and after the combine wasn't going to be available at 9. Couldn't go to 3 because Chicago was trading out and Houston might like AR more than Young. So.....move to #1 -
With the extension and reworked deal to Thompson, Panthers had around 30m in cap space going into today. Quite a bit is tied up for draft picks and the Forman and Bozeman potential deals, so no big names. Also would be surprised if they went after one of the two tight ends in FA because of the cost. Also the trade with Chicago can't be official til the 15th, so technically the 10m from that trade isn't available yet either.

4 years 110m dollars 60m guaranteed. Base salary first two years fully guaranteed. Roster bonus in year 2 for 10m. 20m signing bonus Season 3 roster bonus of 15m, only guaranteed for injury before day 3 of 2026 leage year. Team out before the roster bonus with 10m ish dead cap space. Ends up being either a 2 year deal for 45m dollars or a 3 year deal worth 76m

Trade back with Arizona for 2 seconds and 2 thirds plus 3 and still take Stroud. Arizona wants a DE Houston wants Young Then fill the wr room and 3-4 edge with the extra picks
-
To give his input to rhule and help run scouting and the draft preparation, but make no mistake Rhule had 100% roster control as it was in his contract.
-
You do realize that before this off-season, that Rhule had total roster control, right?
-
What about a stud TE? Rookie qb's like those.
-
For those wondering about wr, we had staff at Odell workout today.
-
His deal was very team friendly and odds were he was gone after year two of the deal anyways because the Panthers had it set for him to get cut with little dead money after year 2. Most of Fitts deals are set up like this. It's been a recurring theme so far.

Team has 22m in cap space and dj Moore dead cap hit is 14.625m.
-
Dj dead cap is 14.625m, team has 22m in cap space now
-
Omg so dramatic. Also B.S too. That's the best trade to #1 by any team in the modern draft. Pretty easily too, especially from slot 9 as well.
-
No that's a hell of a deal for Carolina too
-
That's a good trade actually.... wow
-
If... AR drops to 9, do you take him then?
carpanfan96 replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am beginning to think AR is the first QB off the board. -
Daniel Jones just got 160m over 4 years with another 35m available through incentives.... Holy smokes...
