Another good thing about Ehlers is he can play both wing spots. So if they do try Jarvis at 2c, team would look like this. With Ehlers, you're buying into him going up another level with more playing time and staying healthy. If he stays healthy he will definitely get more playing time in Carolina. The Jets massively underplayed him

With Ehlers, it's all about money from what I've heard. Still expecting the Canes to sign him at around 9.5m AAV unless it's gone up again. Others is mostly geographic location. Raleigh isn't a very big city that's what a lot of young couples want "Ranatan and Marner"

Orlov got a two year deal with San Jose worth 6.5m AAV.

Elhers at 7 x 9.5AAV is what I'm expecting.

His contract wouldn't be bad if Staal had retired like everyone thought he was going to do and KK was on the third line where he's supposed to be. Problem is that Staal didn't retire so team is stuck with two third line centers.

Maybe, that first might not convey and it ends up being a second and Morrow for him.

It's a heavy conditional first with protections and a second with Morrow. Morrow was getting traded no matter what because his organizational value has plummeted recently.
