You need players like him on a team. Swiss army knife do whatever is asked with no drama and just gets it done. He's an example of someone with their head in the game playing their tail off week to week to keep a roster spot while some of these other guys already had their pay day and look like they could care less.

I admire the Ravens for having a talent like Lamar Jackson and actually coordinating an offense around his skill set. But wait there's more. They also have a backup quarterback that has the same set of skills and things don't miss a beat when he has to come in and play. Now how about that for building a successful team.

Cam Sam PJ whoever. Tom Brady Jerry Rice and Lawrence Taylor doesn't make this team a competitor. It's a philosophy issue. Mindset. Scheme. Preparedness etc. It starts at the top. They're bad everywhere.

I know what you're saying and you aren't wrong. In the school of coaching though you always try to keep the faith and extend the game. Wait as long as possible to pull off the must have plays. If they don't make 2 there you're down and dejected and you know down 9 that you're done. If you just kick the extra point and you're down 8 you say hey guys all we gotta do is get a stop and get the ball back etc. It just helps keep the faith and motivation alive longer to delay the difficult must have plays.

Erving did that on purpose so we wouldn't do it. That tells you what they think of the coaches.

Can you bring in an outside off the staff guy to run the show the rest of the year like a Doug Pedersen? Tell him it's an audition for the job for next year and go from there.

Now we're the laughing stock of the halftime show. They're all looking at us thinking the same thing we are. They know this group is trash.

This staff ain't got it together. Not much else to say. They are just clearly in over their heads and cannot get it done. No reason to prolong it.
