  1. the general rule is the higher into your hip crease the better, but don't think about it as thrusting your hips into the bar. imagine how you would jump straight in the air. you wouldn't jump high by humping forward. that would happen as a result of you opening upwards. making early contact is a sign that you're either pulling early with your arms or you need to widen your grip. Good ways to work on this are to do hang and low hang squat ******. really try to get the bar into your hips. this is difficult to pick up without some good coaching. if you upload videos i'll take a look. those are nike romaleos. god tier to squat in, great for ******, kinda iffy for split jerking. 200 bucks.
  2. I've moved to india to run a crossfit gym. the offer was made and i jumped on it because it sounded like an adventure. on top of getting to go with my girlfriend, I'm getting to experience a different part of the world, save up a ton of money, travel all over southeast asia, and i'll definitely make regionals. the gym doesn't have the best equipment. notice how bad the 5k plates are on the end of this bar. http://instagram.com/p/hxZi8ipQZP/
  3. yes. i dont ****** like this when I'm not doing randy. fug randy.
  4. DL once a week at most. If you want to squat three times a week, make sure you're doing an oly split.
  5. I don't track my macros, but I avoid bread and sugar as much as possible. Also dairy. I'll be going strict paleo for the cf open any....time....now.
  6. Well I've got some time. You want the basis of your lifting routine to be compound movements like squatting, deadlifting and pressing. These aren't your beach muscles typically, but they're the ones that provide the largest muscular and neuroendocrine response. That's the stuff that makes you lose weight, increase bone density, give you more energy, build muscle mass, etc. they should be the focus. You should always do them fresh. From there add in your accessory lifts. Bench, leg extensions, whatever. Lastly should always be whatever uses the least muscles. Also your lol lifts like curls and calf extensions. The first question you have to answer is what you want.
  7. 407. If you want I'll write you up something later tonight. I'm also a trainer and am a crossfit l1 intern so I train people all the time. Just tell me your weight, age, and lift numbers. Also buy starting strength. It's the best weightlifting resource for beginners.
  8. squishy soles can push you forward. barefoot lets you get a flatter, more even press off the floor. not that it mattered for me in that lift since I kinda freak out when I PR.
  9. also watch lucky pants deadlifting for inspiration
  10. lol @ ever being content with deadlifts go for 500 baby. 38 pounds away for me at 175 bw pardon the scream. i get really amped up when i pr deadlift
  11. anyway this girl is fat ive kicked better looking chicks out of bed stay pleb losers
  12. unless you're dating an nfl cheerleader like i am #fugingthenemy
  13. maybe if the Panthers had a more....traditional....qb, he would have thrown a softer, more easily caught ball #notracistjustasking
  14. $cam newton unable to seal the deal in the red zone again, throws it off Steve Smith's hands too hard.
  15. just hesitate to immediately assume this is just to "put the pressure on" or some other equally simple narrative. For every problem there is an obvious, easy to understand, simple answer...and it's wrong.
  16. does he know that? Like, would you say for 100% certain Rivera is that self aware? Because I'm not sure.
  17. He can't deny it. That's tantamount to the dreaded vote of confidence. He can't ignore it. He'll look weak. He has to own it. If the Panthers lose today, Rivera has to go. If he doesn't, he has to keep making leaks. He has to be the motherfuger
  18. Alright kiddies, sit around, I will now explain to you what's going on, or at least give you the two most likely options and flesh them out. Gettleman chose not to fire Rivera, probably at the suggestion of Ernie Accorsi who was shadowing the franchise last year and getting a feel for everything. Every single Charlotte Observer article by Joe Person (the most company of men) went out of its way to mention how Rivera has "learned his lessons" as a head coach, or has "matured" as a head coach, or is now better at managing things from a HC position. It was very obvious. The Panthers are very good at controlling the local narrative, and it's pretty clear to me what they wanted to get out there. Gettleman thinks Rivera is a good coach who just needed to get out of his own way. I think most of us would agree that over his first 2 years and change, Rivera is about one decision a game away from being a pretty good coach. It's just that whenever the moment comes, he fugs it up. Every. Single. Time. First two games of the season? the moment came in both. He fuged it up both times. He's learned nothing. He only went for it on fourth down last week because he thought it was first. He doesn't understand risk and leverage, to say nothing of other things, but I want to keep this relatively short. YOUR TWO OPTIONS FOR WHAT THIS MEANS A.) This legit leaked and they're getting their ducks in a row. Doesn't make any sense at all. If they were talking to a candidate, or had someone in mind, it'd have to be someone who is currently unemployed. B.) They're trying to light a fire under his ass. Actually, after typing this I have no fuging idea. This is weird.
  19. @RapSheet: Sources: #Panthers have begun laying groundwork for a possible coaching search, doing background checks on candidates. 1 candidate knows. Subtle, gettleman.
