  1. I don't think he was ever happy here. Cliff and JB both had made it clear they weren't happy with him.
  2. There is another tweet where Hollinger says Lonzo Ball to the Bulls is still in play too.
  3. If JB had been more willing to play him, they probably could have gotten something for him. JB never liked Monk though. Neither did Clifford.
  4. Yep. It never really clicked for him here, but perhaps it will somewhere else. I'm surprised the Hornets never traded Monk. Then again, maybe they tried but never found any takers.
  5. His analytics were supposed to help, but if he lets others make the pick or gets overridden then it doesn't matter what the computer says.
  6. I don't know if Cho was solely responsible. Rumors from then were always that MJ and others had a lot of say as well as Cho being more of a yes man than anything else.
  7. Call it apple to oranges if you like. I saw enough people making the comparison or saying this is what Monk was supposed to have been last night that the feeling stuck.
  8. Monk was supposed to have been that too. And like Monk, he fell in the draft. That gives me a bit of a pause instead of being super happy with the pick.
  9. They should have your interest. The Hornets have been much more entertaining than the Panthers the last couple of years.
  10. It was a good draft. The difference between the Mitch and Cho eras is just nuts.
  11. I've been thinking that since last year. JB never seemed to have wanted him on the team and neither did Cliff when he was here.
  12. Why would a first round pick have to compete with a summer league tryout guy? Bouknight will have a roster spot unless he gets traded or quits playing.
  13. Again, going by what he has done, Rhule hasn't done a lot except have a losing record. All the team building, chemistry, player-coach relationships, etc doesn't matter if it doesn't translate into wins. And that is something that is the same ol Panthers so far.
  14. Funny how the records and memories don't.
  15. Why would it be disingenuous? No team gets a reset just because they changed management, owners, or coaches. Sure, judge them on how they do instead of the past if you prefer. But even doing that, was last season not another losing season? Until Rhule and Co start racking up winning seasons and proving otherwise, they are just more of the same.
  16. I wasn't aware that the Panthers had been replaced with a new franchise or that the team's records had been reset because they hired a new GM. The team's history is over 20 years old at this point, not 1 despite the change in management.
  17. Too many years of bad seasons followed by one good season. Considering the team's history, they are about due for a decent to good season.
  18. I wouldn't mind seeing them trade back. The team needs more talent and this could be a sign they are looking at moving on from Graham and/or Monk.
