National TV game. Hornets poo the bed every time they play one. Seriously though, two starters were out, Miles and PJ both got hurt in the first half, and everyone looked off no matter what they were doing.

This half is right up there with the game from last week in how bad the Hornets played. Just brutal stuff.

It's happening. Charlotte sports are cursed when it comes to national games. Hornets have four of them this season too.

So is the offense and it's not like the Mavs are playing good defense either.

Not a good first quarter by the Hornets. Hornets just don't play well in national televised games.

Zack Lowe has the Hornets at #5 on his list of fun teams to watch this season.

That's a weak article. The GM said last week that he was looking for OL help, but no team was willing to trade anybody.

Mobility does not equal running ability. Winston has always been seen as mobile and can run when he wants. Brady is mobile in the pocket, but doesn't often need to be since he has good protection and a quick release. Ryan? That one I could give you, but he can move in the pocket a little too. Even if you wanted to say the Panthers were being built to beat those three teams and their QBs aren't mobile, that is just six wins at most, which is crap.

And he has generally been more successful when he is using that mobility than standing in the pocket too.

If that is what they have been building the team to beat, it won't be successful for long, if at all. Those guys are the past. The NFL has followed the college game and trended toward athletic, mobile QBs more and more each year for a long time now.

Yeah, it got worse that what I originally saw. Thank goodness he never coached here like some wanted.

Fun game overall and it's preseason, so the loss doesn't count. The Miami broadcast team were very good at their jobs. They weren't total homers, they were well researched, and very fair throughout the game. They seemed to me more like two old guys talking about a game they were watching than an actual broadcast duo.

Much better second quarter.

I don't want to see Richards play another minute. He's just bad.

So far Ball has missed everything including a dumb super long 3 pointer attempt, Cody Martin has tried to go coast to coast when that's just not his game, PJ has missed most of his shots, and Bridges hasn't looked that good either. On the plus side, McDaniels looks alright.

I'd rather keep him on the team too, but I'm not the coach or GM.

I don't see them letting him walk for nothing, but I can see them using him as a centerpiece in a trade.

Yep. Imagine the outrage if the team lets Moore walk since they resigned Anderson.

I don't know if extending Anderson was a bad decision, but it could be a poor one. They have Moore, drafted two receivers, and had a few others that weren't terrible. Anderson's cap space could have been used elsewhere. It could have went to Moore, Burns, Oline free agents, or others.

Take a page from the Waterboy and try the social media interns or something like that at center.
