  1. It could be argued Rivera knew how to build a team too. He focused on the Dline and linebackers while making due with the secondary since he believed the front seven were more important. On offense, he had Smith, Olsen, Shockey, and double trouble for weapons in Cam's early years. Cam also had a much better Oline to work with. And since Cam tended to throw high, they tried to draft him taller receivers. Of course, that didn't work out too well. And yeah, as the years went on, Ron depended more on his elite two talents than he should have, especially Cam on offense. It's way too early to tell if Rhule truly knows how to build a winning team at the NFL level. He hasn't done badly on defense and has his own take on what to do there. Now on offense? It seems the man needs some help.
  2. And just look at how many guys became busts that teams thought were worth it over the NFL's history. Most of these guys go to the dumpster fire teams due to the nature of the draft order and is probably why most bust. There just isn't the support needed to get them up to speed through coaching, surrounding cast, or whatever. This is why I've said keep building the team up and then go in on a rookie QB. That way the rookie should have enough support through his Oline, receivers, defense, and such to at least look good enough to win with. I'm not saying the team needs to be elite at every position, but it does need to be good enough to survive the rookie mistakes and allow the rookie to at least go through his progressions. I don't want to see the Panthers create their own David Carr or Sam Darnold.
  3. I predict I'll find a lot of things to laugh at between the game and the reactions here.
  4. That remains to be seen and the offensive side of the roster leaves a lot to be desired. Heck, even the defense at linebacker and safety could use some work. The Dline could stand to have some bigger guys on the edge too.
  5. Maybe, maybe not. There is no guarantee that the number 1 pick QB will be a franchise guy. He could be just as likely be a bust as a success, especially with an Oline like the Panthers currently have.
  6. As Boone states, it's early, but this is good news.
  7. Welp, the Hornets may have just gotten cursed. Grant Hill and Brendan Haywood just said on the NBA channel that the Hornets could win a playoff series or even two. They also said Ball is a star the team can market and that Bridges is rapidly becoming one too. The positivity was
  8. Might need to sit LaMelo. He's not giving the team anything.
  9. Not true. Bridges has been playing very well. Martin has been playing well. So has McDaniels and Ish. The others have played alright. Ball is the only one I've noticed that looks disinterested.
  10. Bridges was not happy that Ball didn't throw the lob
  11. From what Dell just said, this has been a get right game for the Magic.
  12. When he has been in he has looked disinterested. So, maybe JB is just going with those that are playing well.
  13. They haven't said anything. He was in early foul trouble though. Maybe JB is just resting him until the 4th
  14. If Miles keeps playing like this, he'll be one of the scoring leaders this year.
  15. Hayward has looked much better tonight. Oubre had looked much worse to counter that though.
  16. I don't know about that. There's a lot of games to go. That said, he's going to get paid a lot.
  17. Miles is smoking on offense tonight. Keep feeding him
  18. The Hornets just don't have a good defense going back several years now.
  19. Miles did have a foot on the line. If he had just stepped back a little further, you would have had your three.
  20. They probably didn't take the Magic seriously and have just been coasting.
  21. The Magic are going all out on the 3 attempts. 22 so far.
  22. Going small with Bamba on the floor is an interesting decision.
