I don't disagree about playing better, but taking a time out when you're up 27-28 points with less than 5 seconds in the half so you can attempt to score again is a dick move. Taking the TO when you're losing to attempt to build some momentum is one thing, but this was totally unnecessary and honestly, classless. And I'd be saying the same if Duke or State had done it to UNC.

You'd be saying the opposite if State had done the same to UNC and won the game.

I'm not sure which is worse, State's effort or Davis attempting to run up the score going into the half.

UNC is actually doing what they want to State so far.

State and UNC start in a few minutes. Seems both coaches seats are heating up too.

The difference is was the fact that round 1 rookies, especially QBs, were getting paid more than a lot of vet players without ever having played a single down in the NFL. None of the NFL guys liked that, so they voted to stop it.

True, but the majority of the union are backups and bottom of the roster guys that don't have power. So, I don't see it happening.

The players' union is never going to agree to something like that. Putting the cap on rookie deals was something that benefited older players, which is why that got put into place. Restricting vet players though? Not happening.

I don't like the signing because of Dalton's age and the wear and tear he's suffered over the years. I'd prefer someone a few years younger just so if they had to play, they could handle the playing time without falling apart. That said, if you're playing your backup QB, your season is over with anyway with very few exceptions to that rule. So, meh.

Take your fanboyism out of it. UNC hasn't gotten top recruits for years. UNC wants guys that'll be there over the long haul, but those top 1 and done guys want to go to the NBA pipeline schools and since NIL and the portal, those schools willing to pony up the most cash.

Top guys aren't interested in UNC. They're interested in the NBA factory schools such as Duke, Kentucky, etc and whoever offers them the most NIL money. And that's not UNC in both cases. UNC has coasted on their history and being MJ's school for years. And that just doesn't work in this era.

A properly used TE can be the #1 option. See those Brady led Pats teams from a few years ago as examples 1-3.

Not bad, but I'd rather use a 6th or 7th rounder on one of the college kids and giving them a go.
