That second quarter was a lot better than the first.
-
Yep. And the refs aren't giving them a fair whistle either.
-
Pretty bad first quarter.
-
Not a good start to this one.
-
That makes sense if you think the Bears were starting to get desperate to make the move up and the other teams turned down what they offered.

ESPN's Marcus Spears on Matt Rhule

Except with a hammer. But then that would be assault at a minimum. -
Another opinion on our draft from Dator
jayboogieman replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Darnold busts, it'll be a high draft pick for QB, unless they are able to get a vet. If Darnold works out, I expect them to get a mid round rookie as a developmental guy and backup. I had thought they would have took a rookie this year in the mid rounds, but the draft didn't go that way. -
apparently there was some drama in our draft room

If that is the case, it's still a small improvement over the last regime. -
The rest of the season is going to be rough. PJ is out tonight as well.

Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation
jayboogieman replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
Expecting Darnold to do something only three QBs, two of them are HOFers and the other has won a superbowl in the last two years, have done in the history of the NFL is a problem. I think Darnold should get his chance to turn things around and hope he does, but that is a very unrealistic expectation to have. -
Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation

The guys making the decision totally disagreed with you and preferred Darnold over Fields. Your confidence or arrogance, whichever you prefer, has you thinking your perspective is better than the guys getting paid to make those decisions. -
lol I'll keep that in mind for next time.

The Hornets missed Ball. Playing the Pistons help too.

I said that I could remember. I had forgotten last year's draft.
-
Indeed. No Graham as the tradeoff though.

They did ok. We really won't know until the games are played. At least they didn't draft a LB early. There was a lot of talk about guys falling due to COVID and not playing. And that did seem to happen. The question will be if they will do the same thing next year.
-
Yes. A kicker would have been a perfect way to end the draft.
-
That works too!
-
This is the first draft I can remember that the Panthers didn't draft a LB
-
Good point. Isn't there some journeymen vet QBs still out there? If not, and if Vinnie T is still alive, maybe they can talk him to come back one more time.

If Grier sees the field, it might net the Panthers a top three pick. Start looking at next year's QBs so you can drive a new bus.
