Can’t 2 non contact injuries tell the tale and for a player playing on artificial turf in Charlotte, that isnt going to work he hurt his own self working out for gods sake. It was probably that same hamstring -

They get their millions in any case at the end of Newton and Luke and 2.5 years of Rhule… I’ll always hope for the best for them but I have no more fugs to give I do think Frank needs to pass the play calling torch to the guy Tepper paid a lot to do it but whatever -
I totally understand this is a hard franchise to give a crap about the lions have had decades of mediocrity how they have remained so loyal is beyond me at least this franchise stumbled its way to 2 Super Bowl in 28 years

No. that isnt my point at all I, too, am a long time Psl owner. Club level sometimes it’s great. Sometimes it sucks yOU got out as is your right but why follow something that clearly makes you miserable

‘The way of the Panther’. ……

Honestly, I don’t feel we have any idea what to expect and neither do the Falcons short or Evero tape at Denver and Reich tape i have never liked 3 4 because unless they are very stout up front, teams seem to run wild up the middle and off guards I feel like the Falcons are going to run wild on offense with the rookie and Patterson. They will the. pick their passes to Pitts and London based on that and play action. I’ve followed the Panthers since their inception and they have never, ever been able to stop a TE We have no idea what Sanders will do either I hate the Falcons passionately but I’m picking them 23 to 17 and god, I hope I’m very very wrong just too much new scheme and the players we have do not seem to fit it, particularly on defense

Fitterer wanted Burns and made that known when he turned down 2 firsts he has had ample time to get an extension done it is on him to get it done however Burns signed a contract that runs through this year he needs to honor that contract ..he can sit all year and have money taken or find trade value for all I care at this point The Panthers have a game to play on Sunday. If he is there he is there, if he isn’t, he isn’t and the NFL and the Panthers will go on

The Athletic: Insight to Brian Burns Contract
raleigh-panther replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s a business these days Rookie contracts for QBs are a lot cheaper …the same with other premium positions it’s an unknown and a ‘what if’ but quite honestly, please tell me 3 meaningful games in his career that he was the change agent? if I’m a GM, that’s what I look at for premium money. Tj watt in a 3 4 defense is a change agent, is burns? And yes of course it’s supposedly a different position DE vs LB but it is yet to be seen if burns even fits it in real action with the new system let me be clear, I hope he does -
The Athletic: Insight to Brian Burns Contract
raleigh-panther replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
For two first rds, I’d do that in a New York minute given the situation of not having a qb I like burns but two things and I’ll get blasted for it 1. Terrible against the run 2. Not there in big games, yes, I know he was ‘the only panthers player the opposing team needed to scheme for’…all the more reason to send him and take those picks to build the roster ‘hindsight is 20 20’ but he is nowhere near the top 3 edges for that money and if you had a team dumb enough to offer, 2 ones, you take it -
I loved listening to him on Sirius too. ….great voice stilled …but all of our journeys end eventually…at 91, how blessed to live that long and do what he loved for so long. God speed Gil
