Russini: Some coaches wanted to bench Young
raleigh-panther replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep I wouldn’t call it justification….i call it facts I’m not a fan of Young I wasn’t in college i don’t want him to fail but if you are going that route, wholesale changes should’ve been made based on how that qb plays (with his particular issues) but when the GM believes QBs can be plug and play, here we are had the GM done that, it wouldn’t be about ‘just keeping him alive’ the way I see it, everything is a mismatch The makeup of the oline, the skill players, Reich’s offensive system to the ability of this small nfl qb that requires the center of the line to be very secure it’s pitiful and it plays out every Sunday now, you can believe that every coach didn’t know this would happen or it’s a GM failure. -
Russini: Some coaches wanted to bench Young

Yep Bill Parcells when asked about Young and his lack of frame for the NFL said, ‘he better walk on water’. The opposite also appears true, everything and everyone surrounding young needs to walk in water for him to succeed I still remember Fitterer ‘drop in a QB’ and get to the team to the playoffs and not expecting to draft in the top 10 this year that assessment shows not much understanding of what he has, what he needs, what it takes to win in the NFL and he feed that bullshit to the boss and the boss ate it up. Tepper is a problem but so is Fitterer, Tepper’s ‘yes’ man -

Who might ‘the team’ be? …Tepper, Fitterer, Reich ? Are the coaches fired the ones who felt he should sit? The author should Name names Be that as it, can you imagine being a pro player on this team understanding that playing to win was not the main goal ? …..that the golden rule number 1 that ‘best players play’ regardless ….that the incentive laden contracts those players signed is as worthless as used toilet paper … …or coaches trying to put the best product on the field for their own resume …or coaches understanding Young isn’t ready and not being listened to… …or golden rule number two doesn’t matter either, quoting Herm Edwards ‘you play to win the game’. want to know why they are sleep walking every Sunday ? If this story is factually true, there is the answer -
‘Whether’ when I first read that I thought there was weather in Tampa

Headline is misleading They activated him from IR because it was either that or IR for the year time was up He can still be inactive on game day Mike Evan’s will have another field day against either cornerback unless Horn plays imho he is getting paid to play, so if physically cleared, play

15 year season ticket holder... I won't be renewing
raleigh-panther replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Quite a leap from my statement of ‘If they do not fix this current situation of having no hope of even scoring a TD thus meaning PSL owners can’t sell those tickets for close to face value, many things will change. ‘. To your odd interpretation on the previous page ‘No expiration on PSLs ‘ lol. Ok …you dont know much so you are here for your own party You clearly want attention You can get it elsewhere -
Sweet baby Jesus pls, no

raleigh-panther replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
…wow…not sure who you are but a bit on the smug side in response aren't you ? I didn’t predict anything you might be surprised how disengaged PSL holders are from David Tepper, how much they dislike him (and further, his grand plans for the future stadium renovations (ie, gauging the interest of PSL holders like myself for very expensive options via a survey I received today) . Just in case you are a buddy of the Panthers org, you can tell him he best fix that product on the field if he expects anyone to cough up that kind of money for a team that can’t score a TD and the worst record of any sports franchise over 5 years so trust me, there is a lot of extreme unhappiness right now, more than enough to make people walk away and we are ‘loyal’ when the ticket values hold their face value. Now, we can’t even give them away. i have the ticket office calling me all the time about buying PSLs in my row from others who have gotten out. I’m not calling them. Those were not advertised So, if you are under the Illusion this is some hot commodity with blind loyalty, it isn’t On PSL availability, my point is simply it is very difficult to tell how many PSLs are available at any point in time given the variables (term limit, method of sale, or transfer, or turn in or the motives. All you know is xx number are designated for PSLs and they will show in varying states. I’ve owned mine for 24 years. I will be turning them in a year early. I don’t need the situation made worse with gas, food, lodging and worst of all, wasting of my time. -

It is True a large % are owned by PSL owners That, of course, was JR’s methodology still in place. The other numbers you quoted, I doubt seriously that it includes the PSLs turned in before they expire as they go back to the team …the team will then try and move them to brokers There is really no way to know what is what unless you data mine every website where they are sold If they do not fix this current situation of having no hope of even scoring a TD thus meaning PSL owners can’t sell those tickets for close to face value, many things will change. -
Randy Mueller in Athletic on Tepper and Bryce
raleigh-panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wonder where this method would’ve placed Tom Brady ? -
Apologies if this has been shared. I’m only going to pull a paragraph or two from his article Mueller (former GM) — ++ ——— + ‘ Tepper’s passion to win is palpable, but the more he talks publicly, the less confidence I have in him as the boss. Look no further than his explanation of why the team drafted Young when he inserted himself (from off the stage) in a post-draft press conference GM Scott Fitterer and Reich. Tepper’s explanation of Young being a point guard-like distributor and how he would allow the Panthers to not spend as much money on elite targets/receivers was dumbfounding. He also mentioned that the team had run the “predictive probability reports” that gave them the direction and confidence that Young was the QB suited best to lead them to multiple Super Bowls. Huh? Reich’s design and play calling on Sundays could not overcome that kind of head-scratching analysis. The deck was stacked against him. - —— ———————++++++++++++ lol Analytics are just one tool …wasn't one of those tools a Risk Management tool lol This explains a lot of what is wrong Somewhere between no tools and relying on RAS and predictive probability, this franchise’s player evaluation sucks.

Breer mailbag, Tepper similar to Kraft and York early years
raleigh-panther replied to Martin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah, Tepper is the Antichrist. remember? I don’t know what is going to happen to the franchise or the fanbase Coaching is important. Skill and athletic ability are important however, the NFL is a tough place, the ‘want to’ is just as important as the other measures. Give me a Luvu or a Blackshear any day of the week over 95% of the Panthers’ roster and that, is a problem Not only that, their drafting is abysmal…the players they pass on, to the players they pick, awful it is understood they changed systems on both sides of the ball so personnel mismatches exist and of course injuries but most of these players would be second and third string on better teams. -
Players react to firing. They don’t seem too upset
raleigh-panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is more to players than their RAS score or lack thereof Fitterer and yes, Tepper, need to learn that I also want to see a little passion from Bryce in a leadership role QBs in the NFL are alphas This kid, who knows -
His non comments on Horn was…interesting guy plays one game and couldn’t make it through that
