We finally get to see Brooks this week
raleigh-panther replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep Here’s hoping one thing about Canales that i think needs to improve he does a total ‘tell’ on the play call with his personnel groupings The Chief’s defense is quite good this game is also a ‘tell’ on Canales…how good of a play caller is he..how good of a HC against one of the best coaching staffs in the league …this game isnt just a barometer for Young….if we pay attention, we will learn a lot about Dave -

Zack Fraizer getting a shout out Brooks needs to be something special -
This game, to me, determines Young’s future team…and it isn’t going to be here…meaning, can he push the ball down the field or not…can he make plays against a very very good defense… KC will stop the run. KC will blitz him up the middle. They will say to him…now beat us…. It is time to grow up.

Carolina may not "be sold" on young (per athletic)
raleigh-panther replied to Champagnepapi704's topic in Carolina Panthers
A lot of time between now and the draft …time to evaluate Young and new QBs we all know the options available for the franchise i do not believe the Panthers brain trust , such as it is, believes in Young. They believe his floor is his ceiling in the NFL if that is true, then Fields becomes the youngest and probably best of the free agents and drafting a gb in the first rd is probable and the rest of the draft probably all defense …young qb can sit and learn of course, too, in a league desperate for qbs, the Panthers won’t be the only one vying for Fields -

Exactly right -
Rumors I've read, and just watching Young and the play calling, seems to indicate that Canales does not believe in Young …at all ..maybe he was told by owner, gm, etc that the franchise is moving on …Or maybe Canales sees the limited plays calls with young under center i mean, it is all conjecture …but let’s face it…126 yards…what more is there to say…yes there were drops but all qbs have those He needs to do really really well against KC and even if he does…might not be enough i suspect they will either trade him before draft or will draft a qb and have an open competition If he stays, it might be as a backup
-
I have to wonder if Young is more comfortable with Brady at left tackle than Ickey …and if that means his happy feet are better because if it …could just be lesser competition…but Giants supposed to have decent Dline guess KC will show how much improvement is really there

Wish we had traded burns. Either for two firsts with LA or said to Chicago, you got BURNS

33rd Team has a mock out today
raleigh-panther replied to UnluckyforSome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Many things will chance based on the panthers difficult ending schedule. They might win one more game against a wounded cowboys team heres current draft That damned 2nd rd for Young, killer rams, too, are playing better and that 49 may turn into much later in rd 2 -
Yes to all …and does not feel pressure…particularly up the middle …or he bails too quickly footwork still not there We cheer things fundamentals that a number 1 pick should know i truly believe Canales knows his ceiling is his floor I think either 1. He will be traded before the draft 2. Or the Panthers will draft a qb, bring in a veteran and if they keep Young, he will have to earn his position doubt he cares…38 million guaranteed says he doesn’t. Nice kid but he isn’t getting paid to be nice
-
Lol Ok
-
What position were these current QBs picked Mahomes JACKSON Purdy it might very well be a blessing in disguise if they are not drafting in the top 3 besides, I doubt they win another game, so don’t fret

We will chat again about Bryce after KC yes the team did what it had to do but most of Young’s yards came in the first half It was also pretty simple to see in the second half, he left a lot of opportunities on the field and that almost led to a loss the defense is not going to have interceptions and fumble recovery and the offense, a 150 yard runner every week to make up for him i wish him no ill. In my eyes, he is a backup at best
-
Im old ive seen each of those players live Bryce isnt in their category look, not trying to upset people Ar end of the bye, you will see who Bryce is and isnt 125 yards against the Giants should tell you
-
No one it is just recognizing what it us to be an average nfl game manager average nfl game managers do not celebrate 125 yards in an nfl game im sorry to say it it is life in the nfl.
-
I dont hate Bryce young i dont want him yo fail i just dont see him being even an average game manager i would love to be wrong. Im not
-
Young at least isn’t making the big mistake. I won’t go overboard here praising Young like the TV broadcast did. Yes, he made some nice first-half throws, but he also only had a handful of completions after halftime, threw for just 126 yards the entire game and missed several very makeable throws late. Carolina had a great chance to run out the clock on its final possession, but Young and company couldn’t do it (this also had to do with Canales’ unimaginative playcalling). Still, Young didn’t turn the ball over and Jones threw two red-zone interceptions for the Giants. All of that was huge. Once 2-17 as a starter for Carolina, Young has now improved to 4-17. Which is still terrible, but objectively not as terrible. Young has done enough to start again when Carolina plays next after its upcoming bye week — at home vs. Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes on Nov. 24. Whew! Good luck winning three in a row, Carolina.

look. I’m no young fan but when your running back is hot, stay with it. Had caneles stayed with it more, they would be well ahead
