  1. Sam has to get the ball out quicker. He’s holding on to it way too long. Had a good 2 seconds there
  2. Are you kidding me. Sam is not throwing to the open guys. Brady is getting guys open. Are you guys watching the game?
  3. People blaming Brady are hilarious. Sam has open players on almost every play but instead goes to the double coverage, guy not open or takes a bad sack
  4. Will Sam ever find the open man? This is embarrassing
  5. O line and Brady are fine. The excuses for Sam are getting old. Would be 17-0 right now if not for his mistakes
  6. Erickson has been super solid this season thus far, deserves props. Good find by the coaching staff
  7. It’s been a serious problem all 5 games now his vision has been downright bad, and this is like 24 points now Sam has given the other team because of dumb mistakes deep in his own territory
  8. We have to be the only team in the league that can’t complete a simple go route ok maybe us and the jets
  9. I don't have distain for Sam, its nothing personally against him, I'm just not sold based on his performance so far. He is very up and down. That third quarter was inexcusable and he makes too many dumb turnovers still. He is very jittery in the pocket and has taken some bad sacks or missed open plays as a result because he's looking at the rushers instead of down field. He could have gotten rid of the ball and not taken some of those sacks. He's missed quite a few open receivers deep. He does have some positives. He is cerebral and the playbook is excellent so far especially his rushing plays. He's thrown some ropes in the intermediate. He's converted some big 3rd downs, a few with his legs when he went through his progressions. He actually has gone through progressions a few times, something I didn't think he could do. I'm not ready to say he is a franchise QB yet...I'd say he is in the 12-18 range in terms of quarterbacks a team would take to win a playoff game. I would feel a lot better if he wasn't so damn jittery and panicky in the pocket. To me that is a bad sign.
  10. You were literally so excited we had a franchise QB after Teddy's start last year... do I really need to point out the threads?
  11. He's at the bottom of league in deep passes completed (40+) yards I just don't want you to get too comfortable as Teddy had the same optimism on here after his first 4 games and look how that turned out at the end of the year Sam still has a long way to go
  12. How many turnovers, sacks taken, and deep pass connections is he on pace for?
  13. Next year he sits on TNF, no matter who we play Edit: Or we just treat it like a preseason game and play the backups
  14. Sam has done well and exceeded expectations but he's not a franchise QB or top 12 QB yet, so we should still consider upgrading if he doesn't play himself into that conversation by the end of the season
  15. Teams aren't trading offensive lineman in this climate, there's a severe lack of talent at the position and just having a good one is a big advantage
  16. Someone on NFL Live said it best. NFL is moving towards needing 3 lockdown corners who can go man-to-man in order to play successful defense. Gone are the days where you need just 1 and can play cover 2. There's a lot of talent at WR in the league right now and teams are going 3 wide all game.
  17. 24+ teams the league are hurting at o-line, there simply isn’t enough to go around. I don’t get all the “but what about the o-line” posters in the Gilmore trade thread. Nobody is trading decent offensive linemen, and if they are it’s a decent offensive lineman for two first round picks (Tunsil) are you really willing to do that?
  18. Stop belittling others for correct criticism. Anyone that watches football sees that Sam is walking on eggshells out there, feels like he can blow up any second and he did just that in the 3rd quarter. He is young and has room to grow, but the panicking in the pocket and not getting rid of the ball leaves a lot to be desired. We all want the Panthers to be great and win the SB.
  19. Defense is fine, its the first time we got tested all season and we punched them in the mouth in the first half, played with two CB's that hadn't been with the team all season, and it would have been fine had the offense not turned the ball over/crapped out in the third quarter. I'm still not sold on Darnold. He had some huge 3rd down conversions but still panics in the pocket and will make a lot of dumb mistakes or take dumb sacks instead of getting the ball out. That compared with our really bad o-line means we aren't going anywhere in the postseason. The good news is that we were a year away still anyway, next year is when we should have the talent to be a juggernaut with the cap space and another good draft. Just depends if we get that quarterback or not.
  20. How are there not 32 kickers in the entire world that can kick a field goal accurately like literally there are only 10-12 in the entire word of what 8 billion people
  21. I think they have had this game circled, been saving stuff on offense and it comes out this week, we confuse the Cowboys and win. The national media talks about us all week as a 4-0, superbowl contender, and then we lay a dud at home against the Eagles next week and lose. This is the way
  22. Uh, even Randy Fasani managed better than 1 yard passing. Fields played the whole game btw.
  23. I don't care what your team around you is, if you have a day like this: 1 yard passing (played the whole game) 47 yards of team total offense then your fans that wouldn't shut up about how we made "The biggest mistake in Panthers history" need to be called out Simply put, if you are a NFL caliber quarterback, you can do better than 1 yard passing in an NFL game
