If Bryce doesn't play this preseason and then looks bad at the start of the regular season I'm already out on the coaching staff and now Tepper is 0 for 3 in 5 years However this could be the grand scheme to get the #1 pick and start over again. If they know Bryce is not it in training camp, then they are screwed regardless

Meanwhile, the guy who I wanted in the 2nd before we wasted a pick on a RB that won't play this year.... I fuging hate this team. We can't draft for poo
-
Yeah I wanted Ladd or AD over Legette, and that hasn't changed. This team just cannot draft WR talent. Bill Belichick loved Legette, that's all you have to know about this situation. I am pulling for the kid but do not have high hopes whatsoever. Bryce needs WRs that can separate, and XL has never been able to

I think they rushed when they needed to take 4-5 years after Endgame and plan out what to do next. They planned it all that summer. That's what money will do unfortunately. Its fine, the MCU from Iron Man to Endgame was extremely good and thats a good set of movies to always revisit (besides Thor Dark World - ew) The new MCU is just too much multiverse content, which cheapens emotions because now you don't really care what happens to the characters. They are brought back almost immediately if they die. IMO they should have skipped the multiverse stuff entirely, or just kept it contained in the Loki series and tie it in a bow that way.

If was a billionaire owner, I'd have a player development coach for every single player throughout the entire year. Just to work on fundamentals and body training. "Too many voices in the ear" these coaches would only work on fundamentals and would directly report to the position coach. I always found it kind of odd that the team leaves the players alone for half the year, I know there's player's association rules but you'd think they'd come to a compromise on that

Training Camp Day 2: Electric Boogaloo

Fitterer might be the worst drafting GM in the history of the National Football League At least Hurney hit on first rounders -
If there was a way to do "PROPER evaluation" or "a method of really peeling back the layers on these players" then there would never be QB busts taken in the 1st round my guy. It's a crapshoot. Always has been. We've had "perfect generational prospects" taken in the top 5 that bust. We've also had projects or QB's with questionable traits taken in the first round that boom. The Patriots and 49ers have drafted complete bust QB's in the first round in the last 5 years alone.

You're right, their out is after 2028 season. If he doesn't improve they are mired in mediocrity land, which is probably worse than fishing for QBs at the top of the draft Carolina's mistake was trading up and being impatient because of the owner. Landing an elite QB in the NFL is very very hard to do, trading a bunch of assets for a coin flip is very risky and it backfired in our case
-
The Texans would have taken Bryce #1. Drafting a QB is a total coin toss. There's no evaluation method that guarantees success. We flipped the coin, and lost. The most pro ready, prototypical, awesome accuracy QB to come out of the draft the last 5 years went #1 to Jacksonville and isn't considered an elite QB and will probably be replaced in the next 3 years if he doesn't take a massive step.

If you follow the Hornets at all you would know they’ve been historically awful at summer league, i think they event 2-18 last 20 games before this. I know it’s backup players but it’s about the culture and mindset, and the Hornets definitely have a different vibe to them now after the ownership and front office change. Unfortunately Tepper will never sell. The only thing we can hope for is he keeps taking L’s on the chin and eventually just steps away and hires the right president to change this team
-
Look I loved Dan the player but I'm not sold on this front office and coaching staff at all. Compare to the Hornets in their complete overhaul of ownership, front office and coaching, then going 7-1 in summer league and having an identity already of tough D and 3 point shooting and rebounding and the coach already has strong bonds with the players and the players appear to have bought in.... it just feels like everyone here is going through the motions, from Dan to Dave Canales to Bryce to the rest of the team. No identity whatsoever.

FOX shares Greg Olsen announcing change

Team #4 sucks! I can't stand that duo -

The difference is stark. Darnold attempts a lot of rudimentary throws and rarely throws people open, preferred to wait until a receiver was completely open, albeit he has a stronger arm downfield. Bryce has far better passing angles in the short and intermediate, including more zip and throwing into tight windows. The touchdown to Thielen against the Dolphins, Darnold couldn't make that throw if his life depended on it. Bryce also doesn't dance in the pocket or looked panicked which drove me crazy. Teddy too only attempted basic throws and couldn't throw downfield, but had much faster zip than Bryce on short throws so I'll give him that. It wouldn't take much improvement this year for Bryce to be the best QB we've had since 2017 like I said
-
Despite all the negativity, Bryce made throws last season that Bridgewater or Darnold just can't do. That's what gives me a sliver a hope for this season...if Bryce can fix mechanics to limit the mistakes he'll still be the best QB we've had since 2017. It's not a high bar, but its a bar.

Offseason Topic: Most Under Appreciated Panther
amcoolio replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
We all took shots at Gamble including me but in reality he was a quality starter for us for many years and worth the pick I went back and watched a lot of the 2015 games on youtube and Kurt Coleman was a beast that season, and very underappreciated and forgotten in the annuls of Panther history -
Your contention..... since 5 hours ago? There's a high chance you loved the Bryce pick and just made a new account to scrub your post history and try to prove to everyone that, as Snape would say, you are an insufferable know-it-all and "knew it all along". It wouldn't be the first time on this forum. Go back to Facebook

The Panthers rarely even attempted crossing routes and quick slants last year. It was all outs and screens. It made no sense whatsoever. Either Reich tried to stick it to the organization for going with Bryce, Reich was too stubborn and out of touch, or they simply didn't trust him to make those throws, which doesn't make sense because the few times they did, Bryce lasered the ball in and is generally super accurate within 10 yards. I believe Bryce can be successful in a Brees style offense, but this is his last year to show anything or he's not starting again in the NFL so he's already behind the 8 ball. He's got to know that this his last shot, either he has it or he doesn't

My takeaway from watching it is why the hell isn't Evero the head coach

Planning for the future of Bank of America Stadium
amcoolio replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
BoA has one of the worst concessions in any arena I've ever been to - both quality and price. I hope they upgrade that. I don't understand not bringing in a bunch of food trucks to help and charging them a percentage or something...there should be a different food option at every concourse. Not a 20 minute line for some of the worst hot dogs, pizza, or old chicken strips you'll find anywhere -
Will the Panthers be better than most are expecting?
amcoolio replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes, we were the clear cut worst last year. However there's tons of examples of the worst team in a division from last year being way better the next year, especially in the NFC South, a very parity driven division. In reality, on paper the Panthers aren't far off from Tampa or New Orleans at all. Defensively on par with Atlanta. And there's tons of factors that affect winning and losing than just the perceived talent of a team -

amcoolio replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
The division will suck. Falcons are overrated and Kirk will not play well this year. The other two are badly coached and one will completely crumble this year. I know people distaste Bryce but the Panthers are just as likely to win 9 games than to win 2 in my opinion because of the schedule.
