8 and a half inch hands. That seems comically low
-
I'm so glad we don't have Smol Hands Blaine Gabbert on our team. Best of luck

With the way the draft is going, when we pick in the 4th, one of the QB's will be available. The QB draft is that bad and not many teams are looking for one in the top 3 rounds.
-
That is one of the dumbest trades of all time. A first round pick for Hollywood Brown? A below average WR1/WR2? (That needs to be paid)

Charlie Campbell went 10 for 10

Charlie Campbell is now 8 for 8, so I think he has in's with lots of teams.

Round 1 - The Carolina Panthers select Ikem Ekwonu
amcoolio replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Charlie has picked the last 5 Panthers picks and said we preferred Ekonwu over Neal. Any question he has a source on the inside now? lol- 328 replies

Charlie Campbell is a wizard. Said our board was 1. Ekonwu 2. Neal and 3. Cross and said we would take Ekonwu. Man has picked the last 5 Panthers 1st round pick
-
Its a no brainer to trade back to 9 IMO
-
Charlie is 3 for 3. Lets see if the rumors that the Jets fell in love with Sauce are true
-
Feels like Detroit is always in the top 5 for most of my lifetime
-
I only listen to ESPN for the classic music, don't care that they are all blowhards
-
Jets are going for Sauce or Drake to make a splash I'm feeling Neal or Icky being there at 6 and we trade down and the board has a meltdown but we pick up an extra first and/or a 2nd depending on how far we fall. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Philly trade up and give us the Saints 1st next year
-
The Jets and Texas are both supposedly looking at CB and WR if they stay and the Giants prefer Neal. I'd say its a good possibility that Ekonwu is there, and a decent chance they both are and the Giants take Thibs and whoever is left at 7.
-
My personal choice would be to trade down to the late teens or 20rh pick, pick up a 2nd and next year's first, and take Linderbaum, and play Bozeman at guard.
-
It will be whoever falls out of Ekonwu, Neal, or Cross at 6, and its looking like Ekonwu is the one, but there's a good chance they trade back

Week Of: Draft Buzz, Rumors, & News (w/updates)

Campbell's final mock (he has inside sources) has the Panthers locked in on whoever is left of Ekonwu, Neal, Cross in that order (This is if they stay at 6.) -

Charlie Campbell is saying Evan Neal could fall out of the top 10, with several teams having a "do not draft" flag on him -
Peter Vecsey has lost all credibility years ago. I wouldn't take anything he says seriously. However I can see Kupchak retiring and becoming an advisor like Jerry West

Some candidates to think about Quin Snyder - will be highly sought after if he and the Jazz part ways, especially by Lakers Sam Cassell - hot assistant rising up the ranks and apparently a good leader, but no HC experience Jerry Stackhouse - took over a bad Vandy program and made them respectable, apparently a good leader Juwan Howard - huge risk/reward Mike D'Antoni - tends to flame out quickly but could be good here after always being in high profile stops Mike Brown - I can't stand this guy but has coached good defenses Frank Vogel - despite this season is known for defensive schemes Phil Handy - darkhorse candidate in the mold of Borrego, player development, long time assistant Kenny Atkinson - wouldn't mind him David Fizdale - seems like an asshole Jared Dudley - would be a shocker but is a very smart player and well liked Adrian Griffin - would love this hire, Nurse lead assistant and the Raptors play hard Alvin Gentry - no from me dawg Mark Jackson - no thank you Scott Brooks - no Steve Clifford - lol Dave Joerger - wouldn't mind one bit Terry Stotts - possible but would prefer other candidates There are only going to a few openings this offseason (Kings, Lakers are definite - Jazz, Hornets, Knicks are possible but not very likely) so now would be the time, there are a bunch of candidates looking and we'd get a good deal My favorites from this list are Snyder, Cassell, Atkinson, Griffin, and Vogel

Posting what I posted somewhere else Borrego lost the team. He had really strange rotations, subbing players in and out multiple times a quarter. He load managed players minutes in an elimination playin game. He made no adjustments, even saying after the elimination game they didn't do anything different they did the first time when they beat Atlanta. Kai and Bouknight came in and made some good plays, (Bouk in particular played well when Covid struck), but then didn't see the floor for the next 18 games in a row, even though they played very negative players like Oubre and Plumlee/Harrell in front of them. He played PJ at center for most of his career, then when finally forced to play him at the 4, PJ plays very well and looks like the player we drafted. I also don't think this is a win-now move. I think the team will just respond better to a Sam Cassell/Adrian Griffin type or an established coach with playoff wins. Borrego is great at developing, but terrible at actual in game coaching, similar to Nash. Also, it stings because the job was down to Udoka and Borrego and the team picked Borrego Actually excited for this move. I think Charlotte has some talented players that will blossom with the right system and playing time.

Baker is 100% better than Darnold, I don't know how anyone can not argue that. For one, Baker has actual testicles. However I am not trading any picks for him. They can have Darnold and one of our midtier players
