  1. So, we really weren't impressed with Steichen?
  2. Didn't people say the same about LSU before Burrow? Times have changed, only a few schools gets the top talents. I have no doubt Stroud would be a good NFL QB
  3. All this poo won't matter if the Panthers win and get to the playoffs. Winning is all that matters. I am not stoked on Reich at all - history is not on his side to be successful - but will hope for the best
  4. Not that I think Reich is a good hire (he isn't) but Wilks had no idea how to stop a very bad, predictable Bucs offense to win the division...that tells you all you need to know about him
  5. Wilks said Holcomb is his DC if he was hired, that should have been an insta-no
  6. That's a lot of excuses for a guy who was fired three times already on very bad offenses, which is the only thing I said. And I know from previous experience you like to discredit any poster who makes your argument look bad, like when I posted the guy who got all first 10 picks correct during the draft and knew we were taking Ickey and you said that guy "edited it after the fact" because you said no one could possibly know we were picking him
  7. Uh, its proven fact he was fired from those three teams and all three were wildly underperforming/bad offenses. But since you apparently don't know: Reich fired from the Colts: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2022/11/07/indianapolis-colts-new-frank-reich-fired-as-head-coach-jim-irsay/69626479007/ Reich fired from the Bolts: https://www.si.com/nfl/2016/01/04/san-diego-chargers-offensive-coordiantor-frank-reich-fired Reich fired from the Cardinals: https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/2012/12/31/3822404/arizona-cardinals-fire-offensive-coaching-staff-along-with-ken
  8. Again, Reich has been fired from three different teams for terrible offenses (Arizona, San Diego and Indianapolis). Does the "offensive guru" really deserve a fourth chance?
  9. We hire Reich we will be looking for a new head coach in the next couple offseasons. The team seriously can't go through this cycle and think that Reich and Wilks are the best candidates.
  10. I wouldn't take AR at 9, but definitely a trade back to 16-19 range and getting an extra 2nd and 3rd
  11. Wilks had an open tryout for the job and was badly outcoached by Byron Leftwich and Todd Bowles, That's all you need to know about his chances for HC. I would be very disappointed if we stuck with Wilks, even though I like the guy.
  12. Again, Reich has already failed at 3 other jobs with league-last offense when he was in charge, I have no idea why he is a strong candidate. He got fired in San Diego and Arizona for having terrible offenses as OC, then at Indy. He only had one good playoff run with the Eagles in a very lucky and weird playoffs where the Eagles crushed the Patriots inexplicably in the Super Bowl. I'd actually prefer Wilks to Reich. But I hope the team doesn't settle like the Hornets, or we are looking at another offseason in 2024 looking for a head coach
  13. Need a center or guard. Uncertainty around both positions with Bozeman a FA and Corbett likely missing all of training camp.
  14. McDaniel came in and established one right away with Miami Dabol came in and established one right away with New York Taylor has a pretty awesome culture with Cincinnati after a few years It's worth taking a chance on a young offensive mind
  15. Yeah, well Payton and other coaches would solve that problem too. Rivera had a culture and identify and he flamed out as well.
  16. What other facts? Sounds like you have the blinders on my dude.
  17. Steve Wilks said he is keeping Holcomb. That's the information at hand. The team granted Holcomb permission to interview with the Falcons, which makes me think they aren't keen on keeping Wilks
  18. He already said he would keep Holcomb as DC, and you just can't do that after that Tampa game. It also reeks of being conservative and buddies club. No thank you
  19. The guy had an open audition for the job. You can't lose that Tampa game or Pittsburgh game against Mitch Trubisky and expect to win the job
  20. I'm leaning to staying at 9 and picking BPA, if Stroud is there, that's great, if its Richardson, great, but we also need a dynamic WR and LB so I wouldn't be mad if an elite one were there
  21. It's embarrassing that we lost to this Bucs team, they are the sloppiest, most uncaring playoff team of all time. For that alone Wilks should not be hired. This Bucs coaching staff is horrendous and Wilks somehow got outcoached by them
  22. Frank Reich has failed everywhere he's been except for that weird Eagles year where clearly something in the universe went wrong to allow that Eagles year to happen because it was so random. Why is there a "case to be made" for Reich. He was fired specifically for horrible offenses in San Diego, Arizona, and Indianapolis, despite having all time talent.
  23. College is more about recruiting than being good on the field. Harbaugh is sourced recently to be fed up with that
  24. Goodell and the whole commish office needs to go. Need new fresh blood that isn’t in the palm of the older old school owners.
  25. https://theathletic.com/4052023/2023/01/02/jim-harbaugh-nfl-michigan/ This is such an obvious bidding war between Irsay and Tepper
