I agree with the OP for this single reason alone and I think I see the OP angle on this. Sean Payton got Drew Brees (fairly undersized QB) and designed a system that fit his abilities and allowed him to get the ball out quick. We have a good accurate QB who is somewhat the same. So I dont think its about Sean Payton the person but about the scheme. If we could find a coach with a similar scheme and mindset whose name isnt Sean Payton would be ideal

We can love Bryce all we want to but he isnt a NFL QB. It will take years for him to get build to throw deep because of his stature. As for the Teppers, they are horrible. Every decision they have made has lead to 0 progress for this team.

He has to be. You give him a QB with 2 handicaps. Height and a noodle arm. I can count on my hand how many times we have thrown it more than 20 yds this season. Defenses are pressing and not even worried about anything more than 20 yards.

We should've analyzed the past 3 drafts like this. What position do we need first? How well do they play their position. for QB its how well can they throw the ball (accuracy, velocity)? This alone was our answer and it was Stroud. He had made Olave look great, Harrison Jr look great because his accuracy. Now he is making Tank dell look great. 3 years ago I wanted Micah Parsons. Dude was elite (freak athlete) and I said he would bring back the Luke style defense. We went with Jaycee Cant stay on the field Horn. I was actually ok with Ickey although he is having a sophomore slump. I think he will prove himself year 3.

This was my take about Bryce. This will be the case.

Its going to take bryce 4 to 5 years to adjust to the NFL aith his heigh and the speed, just like it took Brees time. I told people this and was the reason I wanted Stroud.

Hell I dont even feel sorry for us when we knew what we were drafting. I got blasted on this forum for saying Stroud was the right pick and Bryce wasnt it.

My assessment of Bryce was he couldnt play under center. Everything would need to be shotgun because his height. He needed space to be able to throw the ball. So shotgun was the only way he could thrive and that wouldnt work. Tepper has ruined this team for 3 years in the future. Im proud of CJ Stroud. I knew he was the right pick. He atleast threatens deep and teams are playing in the box and we have no threat of throwing long.

Theres a better way to do this. Just dont go to games. How you going to protest and then show up next sunday. LOL

Its a mixture of lack of creativity by the coaches and lack of arm strength and awareness from Bryce. He has a accurate arm but lacks strength and awareness. So everything will be short so no need to worry about anything long. Just play tight and you beat the panthers.
