People just dont understand that Bryce cant see over the line which eliminates all passes in the middle of the field. He doesnt have the arm to throw more than 20 yards which eliminates the deep threat. So teams play to the outside and play the rush making the play calling so easy to read. If he does throw over the middle he has to throw it high to not get it batted down and it sails over the receiver which happened 2 times already. I think Stroud wouldve thrived here because he can make the pass. He has the stature and touch and I said all this draft day. If Bryce was 6'2" yes he could be better but he is limited and really in order for him to be good here, we wouldve needed Sean Payton as a HC.

The problem when we had Baker and Sam was the play calling was horrible. Most plays were long and drawn out. Now we have actual legit plays that are quick reads and receivers are getting the ball fast and getting yac. Sam and Baker didnt have the best OCs but now we have a competent coaching staff and just needed a accurate and serviceable QB. Bryce just sucks. Ive been saying it before the draft and wanted Stroud. And to those who said Stroud wouldnt have done any better. Stroud could make all the throws Andy made yesterday.

The franchise didnt do it. I told people Bryce was not it before draft and now we see who he truly is. He was undersized and didnt have a great arm. Lacked strength but was good with the dink and dunk game. He was a average at best QB. Translate that to NFL he is a bench warmer. The only real QB in that draft was Stroud. Everybody else was freaks of nature but Stroud was the truest pocket passer in that draft.

He gave the reigns to Rhule and failed then took the reigns from Frank and got his QB and failed. Now he is giving the reigns to someone who has never been a head coach again. Stroud wouldve definitely look better. The inability to stretch the field kept defense stacking the box with no running game and pressing receivers. We want to say the Oline wasnt good but was it really that? When most of the plays are designed to get the ball out quick and defenses are playing tight, the play is called for Bryce to get rid of the ball not Oline holding forever for him to improvise. And then Bryce was throwing pick 6s early in the year a became scared to throw it because teams were lurking underneath. We had too many flaws because of his inability to throw past 20 yards.

I was mocked for saying CJ over Bryce. One of my biggest reasons for this was because CJ made Olave better, Marvin Harrison Jr better, and smith-njigba better. He has proven to make receivers better because he is accurate. Thats what you want out a QB. Who did Bryce make look good at receiver? I dont care about precessing, I care about results and results were CJ was the better QB.

Russell had size, more mobile and strength. Drew Brees didnt have the strength really but developed throwing deep by throw way ahead of time. But most Brees throws were short and fast. Got the ball out quick and rarely got hit.

Dude I wont lie, I knew this year would be. I was hoping to be proved wrong. But I didnt see nothing but a weak arm during his pro day. He missed the long throws on a couple of passes and the arch on them showed he didnt have arm strength. Then when I looked at our previous year and how the Oline performed, I saw this coming. Teams not respecting anything beyond 20 to 30 yards and blitzing alot because he was too small and the Oline wouldnt hold. I said this during draft and it was inevitable.

This was why I may not have liked it but Sean Payton wouldve been the best fit because he knows how to operate a system with a smaller QB.
