With the new CBA, Robby would be fined a ton more than he previously would’ve if he holds out. I don’t think he’ll do it. I also don’t think we’ll extend him right now, so he doesn’t really have much going for him in that regard. I think he’ll be at mandatory minicamp. Any news on Jaycee and why he wasn’t there? I haven’t seen anything

I’d rather have Slye than Olindo. He was new levels of bad. Hurndog at his finest.

That was the first football game I watched... to this day I’m convinced the Pats would’ve drove down and scored even if he didn’t shank it, but damn it’d be nice if he just didn’t shank it. At least there was Janet Jackson. 5th grade me was thrilled

Whoa, who let that bear in the park?! But this is awesome and good to see. When super rich people donate money sometimes I see some comments (not necessarily on here) like “he is worth ______ and this is all he donates??” But he doesn’t have to donate anything, and $500K is a lot of money. It will go a long way to helping this park. Good stuff.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: Round Two, Game 3
PandaMan replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Holy poo. I don’t watch many sports other than football, but I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more. When I was playing baseball as a kid this happened, the pitcher had a tooth or two knocked out. Thankfully it was just kids and not a grown ass man knocking the ball back at you. Hope he is okay. That was rough. -
So many things went wrong for us. We’d protected the ball really well all year and then lost 3 fumbles (4 total fumbles). The “no catch” for Cotchery. I don’t buy the conspiracy theories, but damn, 9/10 times that game would’ve been ours. In the words of the everlasting John Fox, we picked a bad day to have a bad day. also shula doing nothing about Miller

Cox is a beast, I wanted him in that draft and my best friend’s an Eagles fan so I watch him play when I can. I kind of feel bad for him because he’d be talked about a lot more if he wasn’t playing at the same time as Donald.
-
Yeah, he was actually a lot better than I thought he would be. 2 sacks and getting pressure was a pleasant surprise considering pass rushing was supposed to be his biggest weakness (from my understanding). Can’t wait to see what Baby Barack has in store this year. The dude is STRONG
-
I mean, like I said, finding specific videos of a guy failing to make plays are hard to find. I guess you’ll see this year. Hopefully there are no strong gusts in Charlotte on game days
-
Are we watching the same player? I haven’t seen anyone disagree either, except for you I guess. Just because someone doesn’t actively say “yes you are right” doesn’t mean no one agrees. I’ve seen Igo say he plays soft and someone on another thread just today. The one specific play that comes to mind was 3rd down, and he got the ball and essentially crumpled as he got hit right before he got to the first down marker. Full momentum, only a couple yards away, then boom. He’s down. I’m gonna try and find it, but frankly it’s hard to find videos of people failing to get a first down. Show me just five plays of him actively breaking tackles and making something happen in the open field, and I’ll send you a $20 gift card to a place of your choice
-
I’d love that to happen, he seems like a nice dude and has talent. I’ve wanted him to succeed very badly. But I’m hard pressed to find another big guy who runs so soft. A gust of wind knocks him down with the ball in his hands. That’s something you either have or you don’t in most cases. Greg didn’t break many tackles but his hands were soft, velvety paws of magic. Thomas will probably be TE3 on the roster but I don’t think he’ll play much. Having depth feels good
-
Biggest gripe about last year was the constant failure on 3rd down, but yeah with the inexperience and youth on D the squad performed better than the sum of its parts. With losing Luke and having so much inexperience there were bound to be growing pains. I’m excited to see the growth this year. Snow impressed me more than Brady last year, but who knows how much of that was on Teddy’s failures. Plus, DaQuan Jones was a great signing and I think he’ll do some good stuff this year. Get hype!
-
No doubt. Results over sound bites any day. The way they navigated the draft was quite impressive.
-
I mean, I think most people would. A stud #1 overall pick DE and a #2 pick who’s already a force and leader for his team. Doesn’t take away from how good Burns is and Miller’s growth. Burns’ arms look a bit bigger this year but it could just be me
-
There’s a poster on here who knows Miller’s family and said he was working out and honing his craft while he was out last year. Not surprising he showed up in great shape. He seems like a good guy, injuries are my main concern with him. He can contribute if he can stay healthy. Depth is a beautiful thing. But Burns is gonna put the league on notice this year. Dude is about to explode
-
I’m with you on that, I don’t blame him for not showing up to voluntary OTA’s if money is the reason. I get we’re trying to “build a culture” and whatnot, but this is these guy’s lives. He’s a better WR than his career earnings indicate and being a UDFA, he really got the short end of the stick monetarily. Get your money skinny man. The “you signed a contract so you should stick to it” double standard mantra sucks for players because teams will cut you in a second. I don’t like that he isn’t there, but I’m just a fan and I understand where he’s coming from.
-
He seems a bit nervous in front of the microphone, but he’s been around the NFL for a long time and has worked his way up. The Camp Confidential footage of the war room really showed him in his element. I wanted the guy from SF but I like most of what he’s done so far.
-
He was a good hire. When Brady gets hired elsewhere as HC I feel like he’ll get bumped up to OC.

If we win the Super Bowl this year I’ll get Rhule and Fitterer’s faces tattooed on my ass. I would love it to be true, but we’re still a year or two away without a miracle run. But that’s the thing, anything is possible in this sport. Let me get those tattoos -
Panthers VP of football ops Sean Padden has resigned
PandaMan replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Interesting. Don’t know much about him, but the NFL is a different beast from the college game. Maybe he wasn’t cut out for it. There were a few coaches who went back to college after the season as well (but if it was a pay bump who can blame them) -
The fact that some people don’t think Hester (at least on Reddit) won’t get in is crazy to me. Not saying you think that, but some people believe it. Best return man of all time and should get in IMO. Special teamers get the short end of the stick a lot, but if you’re literally the best ever at a position you have to get in.

That whole situation was so dumb. Rescinding the tag, then panicking and using 3 of your 5 picks in the draft on corners... then letting the only good player we got in that draft walk after his rookie deal. Just a bumbling mess of buffoonery.
