Didn’t expect someone to bite on the trade quickly after Sunday’s shenanigans, but it was clear something had to give. He was one of Rhule’s guys, legitimately has spoken glowing things about him at Temple, it’s clear he is very unhappy with Rhule’s firing and everything else enjoy your new college coach, Robbie!

I just hit “subscribe later” or something and it let me read the whole thing. gave Tepper props for building the soccer team (which was a resounding success in ticket sales), more than doubling the amount of events at BoA in under four years, and making the stadium feel more accessible to the average Joe. Also ripped into him for blowing off his questions during the presser about why he decided now was the time to fire Rhule, not him sucking ass at the end of last season and whiffing. About how we haven’t been good since 2018 when Cam got hurt. Was critical of firing 3 head coaches mid-season, since he included the MLS coach. Basically, he’s not Dan Snyder, but damn dude you have to start actually making good moves.
-
Agreed with everything in the article except “But Monday wasn’t a good day for anyone around the Panthers except the “Fire Matt Rhule” crowd, which got its wish and now probably wonders why it doesn’t feel any better.” I actually feel a hell of a lot better, Mr. Fowler

Some positivity regarding the current Roster
PandaMan replied to Kentucky Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hell yeah, Ikem! And with Jaycee looking like an absolute monster and Brown actually turning a corner, our last three first rounders look damn good. -
This guy has only played like 7 pro games. Unbelievable. My main fear with him was potential DPI because he’s a bit handsy, but he’s kept it in check and dominated. fuging stud!!
-
You have to be kidding me. Yeah, most teams would just let the RB run it. Just like we try to run with our backs nowadays in the red zone and are constantly stuffed? Like that, right? We ran with Cam because it fuging worked, dude. He made it happen. You can’t be this delusional. Here’s something else to think about, how many MVP’s from other teams have been talked about by their fans as if they’re mediocre at best at their position?
-
Don’t wanna bother going too far down this road, but the objective of a QB is to score points and lead his team. Why the fug does it matter if he’s scoring TDs on the ground or not? That’s what made him such a special player. Sorry the former MVP doesn’t fit into your archetype of what a quarterback should be

#neverforget the “If I was playing, I would’ve taken a shot” when Cam got lambasted going over the goal line against Atlanta
-
They’re also keeping Evan Cooper around on the coaching side, too. Interested to see what happens there, Cooper was always seen next to Rhule in those videos they put out in the off-season. Wilks must’ve loved what he saw in the guy since he’s the CB coach and that’s Wilks’ bread and butter. Curious if he’ll follow Rhule or stick around note - he also went to Temple. Can’t make this poo up
-
I noticed he was also calling them “men.” I don’t recall hearing Rhule ever say that. College poo
-
The things that stick out: - Did not fire Hurney and Ron together. Set us back to where we are right now. “Greatest evaluator of college talent,” anyone? - Replaced grass with turf to save money despite players’ protests, as well as data informing us turf causes more injuries. So much for analytics. - Way too hands on in regards to player acquisition. All the Deshaun rumors about how Tep was foaming at the mouth to get him to come here. You hired football people for a reason; let them do their job. - Not firing Rhule at the end of last season. The writing on the wall was so clear that Helen Keller could’ve read it, yet we’re in for likely another lost season. He’s not Dan Snyder, but he looks like a controlling owner who thinks he knows more than he does. This Rhule experience should humble the man. He also mentioned he would get consultants for his next hire, so maybe he is turning a corner.
-
Yeah that was good. Loved the part where he talks about the franchise as something he loves and truly cares about, how he was here when we went to the Super Bowl and 3-peated the NFCS, how he knows what it takes to get back there and he wants to get us there. love what he’s saying and his authenticity. I sincerely hope he’s learned from his Cardinals head coaching days because that team was truly horrendous. Having Rosen didn’t help, but he also hired Mike McCoy for OC and wouldn’t let them play music at practice. Seemed overly strict. We’ll see how it goes. Anything is better than Matt fuging Rhule
-
Lmao. “David I answered that question about 2 seconds ago, I’ll have to wait for the injury report tomorrow.” David Newton up to his old tricks
-
Person: Rhule ran the team at times "like his personal kingdom"
PandaMan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tep is older than Jordan Belfort, that dude still goes around and does ted talks and stuff. I love that movie so I looked it up awhile ago, can definitely see Tepper idolizing that “money no matter what” mindset though. Two peas in a pod. I was at the Philly game last season at BoA and remember that McConaughey thing. I thought it was funny but didn’t realize at the time they were trying to take Keep Pounding away. Disgraceful. -
LMAO if we hire Dan Quinn that’ll probably be it for me. He’s a younger Rivera, please god no
-
NO!!!!!

David “Balancing Act” Tepper. Said he was trying to give Rhule enough time to see if things changed, while trying to balance giving him enough time or not enough. Buddy, you should’ve seen at the end of last year ain’t poo gonna change. A layman like myself could see through the smoke and mirrors of Rhule’s Circus. Hope that $40+M he owes ol’ Matthew hits him hard so he thinks twice about doing some stupid poo like that again. Glad to see he seems miffed and ticked off. At least he’s showing something.
-
He also chose Mike McCoy as his OC when he went to Arizona. He doesn’t know offense and is just leaving that side of the ball alone. Hopefully Tepper sees through the facade and chooses someone with an offensive pulse to run the team after the season.
-
Can we move Jeremy Chinn back towards the line of scrimmage please?
-
Hope they find that DBO sign in storage and throw it into a wood chipper
-
Lmaooo Luke Kuechly’s CPI Security finally coming in and evicting the criminals. Snow is a better coach than Rhule, but him and Wilks don’t get along so this isn’t surprising. Rhule and Snow are Thing 1 and Thing 2. Thought Snow would resign instead of getting the axe, though
-
Not surprising. They’ve been joined at the hip for years and Rhule goes nowhere without Snow. He probably had his resignation letter already typed out for this exact moment.

Next step: Get rid of Robby Anderson
PandaMan replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still think the Ian Thomas contract is worse. At least Robbie had 1k receiving yards in 2020 while Thomas has shown…? But yes, please get rid of this guy. I’d take anything for him right now. Shi Smith started looking improved and Terrace was making some grabs. Season is cooked, at least let the young guys get reps.
