Panthers hold prelim talks with Mayfield reps
Cpt slay a ho replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Naw I’m Good, I’ve seen what he did with a talent like obj, although not as bad as the media makes him out to,baker isn’t changing life here -
B+ So far, question is ioannidis starting at de or dt? I’d like to do as much possible to fix the run defense Hopefully our franchise Lt is there at 6, just anything but qb for me and this will be a very good off-season
-
I rather continue building the team, than go the qb route next season, we’ve seen as long as you field a talented roster the opportunities to lure a great qb to you team increases. If we do go qb this draft I hope it’s because of fitts etc evaluations not because of any input from Rhule
-
I’m all for bpa whomever that is, but with Rhule idk if he has the ability to incorporate all those targets amongst those weapons if we did go wr at 6
-
Defense wins championship, so yes please if we get one if the top fa Lts.

[Sheena Quick] Panthers interested in Eric Fisher
Cpt slay a ho replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Whether him or Duane, please still draft a Lt , I’d like a fix for the near future over a temporary fix(however wouldn’t be mad if de is the pick). -
The guy also has the intangibles to be a good leader and is charismatic, would be my choice for the season as long as the compensation isn’t too steep
-
Not sure but wasn’t Rhule forced to get some staff with nfl experience this offseason ? If so they’re already handcuffing him to an extent. Rhule has had his chances at qbs, he made his bed, I believe if we truly believe we were a qb away, DW would be a panther, but if we weren’t willing to spend the assets and money on a certified franchise qb, I have to believe they won’t let Rhule waste the #6 pick on an attempt to save his job, at least I’m hoping not. a healthy dose of cmc and a upgraded o line imo will yield a better chance of winning than reaching on a qb that normally wouldn’t be pick until the 2nd or 3rd rounds in other qb draft classes. now I could be wrong on the qbs this draft but I don’t see none of them drastically changing our next season outcome.
-
Right but if fitts or tepper let Rhule reach for a qb to save his job than we’re doomed anyway. Last thing I want is to do what the cards did, there’s nothing Rhule has done to trust his qb evaluation, even worst, he’s shown nothing that will lead you to believe even if he got a qb, he’d be able to muster more than 5 wins.
-
I still want a franchise Lt at 6, can never have too many good lineman, and having a Lt at the rookie rate for 5 years is pivotal for a championship window
-
We shouldn’t trade for anyone unless it’s Minshew, I’m not understanding the infatuation with qbs who have shown nothing to warrant the illusion that they can be molded into anything more than a stopgap qb. Love at this point is another Sam Darnold risk minus the draft compensation, both haven’t shown anything to suggest they’ll do a 180 with a different staff.
-
Minshew is the only qb we should be interested in, the Jimmy g’s and baker mayfields have already reached there ceilings, if not just run it back with cam for cheap, at very least he’s competition for Sam
-
Hoping for help at lb and de by the end of the draft

What Would Have Been Your Reaction?
Cpt slay a ho replied to The Huddler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not going to lie I would have hype tf outta of it but I’m glad we didn’t win, that’s wayyyyyyy to much risk for a guy who has red flags on and off the field -
Thoughts on putting Cam behind this line?
Cpt slay a ho replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Run it back, bpa in the draft or trade back, next season draft the future with a healthy o line, defense and cmc and cam having the offseason to gel It’s a winning formula -
Yep and no excuse for him or Sam if they fail(barring a string of injuries to the line), and the line would be set for a rookie to come in and hit the ground running, win/win
-
Bring back cam for competition, and if we somehow reel in honey badger or Armstead Lawd
-
I have zero faith in Rhule, I’m hoping the coordinators and talent can carry the team but in the end is that really good for our future?
-
Can we talk about Fitterer and the off-season so far
Cpt slay a ho replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
These are great moves very pleased with this offseason we managed to be in the running for a franchise qb, lose out, and it not cost us prime free agents Just for the love of god, don’t reach on a qb and get the stud Lt if he’s there and please don’t trade for another busted qb unless it’s Minshew for a day 3 pick or something -
I’m actually proud tepper had that “draw a line in the sand” moment, the demands are as if we were trading for prime Tom Brady or Rodgers without the red flags Watson for how talented he is still poses red flags on and off the field, shout-out to the browns for making sure he didn’t land in the nfc south
-
Big win for us, not in our conference and we didn’t have to give up assets nor a guaranteed contract to acquire him bring in some comp for darnold, draft a Lt and go after a qb in the next draft
