  1. Trent Cole is probably still abe to play at a high level in a rotational system ,just not sure where he would fit, in our 4-3 scheme.
  2. I am hoping we draft the best OT available with our 1st rd draft pick. There should be a decent one left, when we pick at # 25.
  3. It will be interesting to see what team DeAngelo hooks up with, assuming he still wants to play. I have a gut feeling ole John Fox, up there in Chicago, may be willing to take him.
  4. I would rather see Greg Hardy go to an AFC team that has playoff hopes. If he signs with a bunch of losers like the Falcons, his off the field wildside could come out agan, causing him all kind of problems.
  5. I would glady welcome the signing of either,Brian Hartline or Chris Canty.
  6. No big deal to me,if Ginn wants to go to CLE ,instead of CAR,more power to him.
  7. The Dez Bryant video rumor,is probably just that,an offseason rumor.
  8. I like WR Mike Wallace's speed and ability but don't believe we can afford him or his attitude.
  9. Then i suppose we'll have to trust Matsko's judgement about Michael Oher. Could be he's had a couple of off years and at age 28, ready to bounce back.
  10. DeAngelo Williams why didn't you just go out with style and class, like Byron Bell ????
  11. No doubt, Jake was a class act and standup guy but considering all the money Hurney gave him,i wouldn't expect Jake to open his mouth no matter what.
  12. I care about what he says because his allegations not only attempt to make the Panthers organization look bad but they can have an adverse effect when we try to sign free agents.
  13. Thanks AU-panther,that oTc outlook, was one of the most informative i've see pertaining to the Panthers salary cap situation.
  14. Question > Do you think there will be a statue erected outside BOA Stadium of DeAngelo Williams? Answer > There is no way. Response > Hmmm!!! I didn't think so.
  15. I voted for Montsta but all of themseem qualified and seem capable of doing a good job.
  16. Even if DeAngelo Williams felt slighted, he could have taken the high road because the Panthers have given him millions of dollars to play the game, dollars that were often not earned. I have yet to hear the Panthers complain and point their fingers at DeAngelo for receiving this unearnd money,,the door could have swung both ways,in that respect but to the Panthers credit, they remained silent on the .issue. When a player attempts to discredit the Carolina Panthers, someone i root, cheer and bleed blue for,i take it as them trying to tarnish the image of the team. Having made these statements,i will have to say yes,DeAngelo Williams has tarnished his image in my eyes.
  17. I am still concered about us getting a veteran LT to start while we groom a rookie or two for the OL. From what i am gathering, the picking is mighty slim for free agent LT's.
  18. If i am Getteman i am on the phone to Ginn's agent, talking turkey, as soon as i heard the news.
  19. This is a day i will remember. I can't think of a single Carolina Panthers player that deserved the tke bto the city more than Thomas Davis. What a great football player and even a greater person. Total class.
  20. I hope OT Byron Bell can catch on as a back up with another NFL team. He gave it his all at LT but he was just in over his head. From all i've ever heard about Bell, he was a stand up guy. I wish him luck and good health.
  21. Come on man,you don't know that. Stop with your way out allegation, one you can only assume and not prove.
  22. Not calling DeAngelo a liar but i find it hard to believe the Panthers didn't reach out to him when his mother died. The reports in the media certainly made it seem that the Panthers had his back during those trying times.
  23. From what i have read,Bell is taking the high road about his release. He said he enjoyed his four years here and would have liked to had more, but,"It is what it is". Said, he would move on and see what the Lord had in store for him. Can't get much more classey than that.
  24. Well said catnip. We are fortunate to have Dave Gettleman ,a GM that runs the team like the business that it is, instead of getting caught up in the emotional aspects that can get a team in salary cap trouble.
