You're not thinking this through. It doesn't matter if we view him as tackle, guard, center, long snapper, or quarterback. We would be getting a first round talent for free. There's literally no risk here at all which is why all 32 teams want him.

Imagine if we walk away from this past week with Shaq, La'el Collins, AND Devin Funchess. All 3 were graded out as 1st round talents on the Panthers draft board.

It will be super interesting to see where he signs. Basically all 32 teams can offer the same very meager amount of money so this will be 100% predicated on things like fit, team reputation, what role he would have, climate, city, etc.

Another thing we would have working our favor is Trai Turner. Trai and La'el were teammates and are supposedly very good friends that text almost everyday.

Collins' agent says that ALL 32 teams have contacted him. That would include us for the slow ones out there.

Oh come on now. Brown and Ginn are to receiver what Bell and Chandler were to starting tackle? Seriously? Corey Brown is no longer an undrafted rookie, he's someone with way more experience than every single player that's been drafted this weekend. I think he'll prove his worth as a #2 receiver or excellent #3 depending on how they use Funchess.

Do we have to have speedsters at every WR spot on the roster? Ted Ginn being our fastest receiver was good enough to go 12-4 in 2013 and I think Corey Brown can be a very reliable burner this season. Offensive line is still a concern and I can understand why someone would complain about that not having been addressed yet. But getting a very fast receiver is just not a priority for this team with the way the roster is currently comprised. We're good enough there.

Honest question: Why do you guys still cite sites like Rotoworld or SI for their instant draft reactions? When have they EVER EVER EVEEER been accurate? How many years do they have to be wrong before we stop bringing their opinions up like they matter any more than ours do?
