  1. If you want to make it cut and dry 1 player throws to another then you can come to this conclusion but there is way more to it. Not every person is going to come into the league a world beater. Not everyone coming in and having instant success sustains it. Having a short leash and being irrational does nothing positive, so why not be patient.
  2. Blaming Bryce for everything seems to be easier than seeing blatant issues staring you right in the face. This isn't a tenured QB we are expecting to play out of his mind here people, but most everyone else supporting him is and not doing their jobs.
  3. Constant pressure will do that to you. It seems we have not realized the routes the slow WRs run and where the pressure is coming from is causing a lot of his issues. If we see pressure coming from one side why aren't we looking to hot route a quick hitch, slant or flat to that side? If the out routes are getting open eventually but there isn't enough time to throw them accurately why aren't we running PA or a bootleg here and there instead of the predictable 1st down run. Offensive awareness is extremely lacking with this playbook.
  4. High throw by BY on an out route. This seems to be a common theme, maybe start running these routes out of PA or with motion. The line is not able to hold up long enough for these slow pokes to run the route adequately.
  5. Terrible run defense makes think that Evero being retained might not be the best decision. A few games we’ve been able to handle the run but for the most part we get gashed in embarrassing fashion.
  6. This is pretty funny, saw it on Reddit. Shows that a lot of folks are reacting to every little thing he does. Sucks to be the #1 overall pick and be a QB. Nowhere to hide while trying to grow and develop.
  7. Hopefully so. I feel they need to take chances and be less predictable in certain downs and distances. Nobody on the staff has anything to lose on offense so why not.
  8. It’s funny that common sense or rational thinking on here is considered “rabble” from an “alt account”. Huddle logic from the cult of the good ol boys club is music to my ears.
  9. Who cares when I decided to start speaking on here. I’ve been a Panthers fan and continue to be regardless you on the other hand seem to be very temperamental. Might want to look into menopause medication for that big fella.
  10. Yes the season isn’t going the way it should. Thinking we were a contender is pretty foolish. Enjoy that it’s football season, hope for positive development and be excited for the turnover. Being a wet blanket all year because of bad things then trying to turn on the positive once good things start happening is being a fair weather fan. This fanbase historically sucks the life out of things because of whatever doesn’t go their way. Look at teams consistently performing their fanbase was unwavering even during the bad times. Yes they won SB and had success to give them the confidence boost even when times are bad but trying to be more optimistic doesn’t hurt people. Shout out to the non toxic posters, those vested in hope and change and for those on the opposite side of the spectrum man it must suck to be miserable all the time and have nothing good reciprocated to you because of the bad energy you’re always putting out. PS Jeremy you can’t be that busy to be this disengaged from the site maybe you should look into adding someone into this venture to make this site fun again because at this point you’re akin to Tepper and your active mods are as abysmal as our OL has been most of the year. Just my opinion.
  11. His wake up call was the relentless media takes coming from writers that don’t even have any connection with the Panthers. Everyone that’s sustained long term success needs a wake up call. Things will be better as long as we get the HC and hopefully GM right. It took a lot of consistently successful franchises time. I know we are impatient but at least we have an owner that hates to lose rather than one that only hopes to turn a profit and get by. This hiring cycle is pivotal in the grand scheme of things and the focus needs to be on the OL and defensive depth. Once those pieces are consistently performing and supported then adding to the skill positions to support Bryce is vital next and from there no matter the QB the system becomes plug and play. This is how the good franchises do it and we need to focus on the same.
  12. I’d prefer a late round WB to be drafted because if the team “looks like trash” we are aligned with a good pick the following year. Attempting to win games and ruin development of a player that’s not even gotten their feet wet is a ball ok for the franchise aligned with the premature firing of a coach and lack of consistent job security for the HC. I feel the offense was bad, that’s on Reich. The development of the QB matters more in year one than the performance of the offense or trying to force feed an offense that clearly has never produced without adequate talent. It’s easy to throw all the blame on Bryce. Baker Mayfield has proven that he’s been in multiple bad situations for QB development, the Browns and us. The guy was picked that high for a reason and on the Rams, Bucs and the one season with the Browns he’s shown why. Is he a late developing franchise QB, probably not but is he better than 20 other starting NFL QB’s, 100 fixing percent. Coming to the conclusion Bryce is terrible now is something anyone reasonable tenured with how long it takes innovation or an outlier is thrown into a situation and analyzing it takes time to understand adaption. We haven’t seen what he could do with adequate support. Yet we have seen late round QBs and what they can do in a system that is built to run like a well oiled machine no matter the QB running it. He may not end up being the world beater Cam was and that’s ok but if we properly set him up for success ala Shanahan, McVay, Harbaugh, etc then we have a proper game manager in our hands we can replace the superstar play makers we lost and hopefully replicate better than the best we’ve seen out of this franchise. If not we try again. We are getting to a point with NIL that these kids can pull a Luck/Eli easier and why would we want to show so much instability that we get shafted again in the future banking on a QB to fall into our lap with a high pick again if we didn’t even give a well respected prospect a chance. This franchise is not capable of overcoming a set back from continual irrational choices the Reich firing needs to be the last one.
  13. Honestly they could've been really good if we developed them properly. Imagine still having them when we got CMC and Samuel. Funchess had his bets year in 17 and got paid by the Packers for it. Injuries derailed his career and honestly he would've been better played in a similar fashion as Jimmy Graham. Benjamin was really good his first 2 years but they didn't seem to be able to overcome his mental hurdles after his mom's passing or develop him in a way that would motivate him to stay under weight and utilize him properly. Under Rivera and beyond we haven't picked a "bad" WR imo it's all on us to develop after we draft and I feel we have dropped the dime on the significantly. Since 2011: Kelvin Benjamin Devin Funchess Curtis Samuel DJ Moore TMJ Jonathan Mingo Are the best of the group and the only one we have developed properly, shouldn't even be able to take full credit for it is DJ. If he would've had Cam or a good QB longer he may be a top 10 WR and was arguably one with us handicapping him. TMJ looked good in time he got last year but he has yet to be fully given a proper chance, Samuel should've been resigned and could've been dynamic with CMC. Funchess played out of position with us and Benjamin honestly had solid talent but couldn't get out of his own head and I dont think anyone really tried to help him and just let him further alienate himself and fall apart. Were there other better WR's drafted during those timeframes after them, of course, do we want to live wit what ifs and what could've beens or realize what we had and messed up and not do the same thing again, please and thank you. How it sits now Mingo is a very solid and capable WR with next to no differentiating WR around him to give him the type of separation he needs to be successful. He could be what Higgins is to Chase, be we need to bring in a WR that is quick in space and one that has burners. The assumption that 1-2 years is enough to fully gauge a players worth is asinine, look at the Ravens and how they handled Waller, beat if they ran that back they would've given up on Max Williams and traded Hurst much sooner. I say all that to say this, we dont need a fancy hire at HC or OC we need one who is more vested in development an innovative to make us be compatible with the future of the NFL not try to make whats previously worked in years past continue to be the building blocks of this franchise when we are clearly built to be more innovative and need to accept and support that.
  14. Late round picks at WR tend to perform better these days and I'm fine with loading up on some with great upside. An early pick would be nice but it depends on what we value the most with the early pick and hopefully they hit and hit hard for us.
  15. I feel they dont want Harbaugh because of his desire to be HC and GM to an extent. They are worried about too much on the plate for one person and further adding the hindering of producing wins. I understand this thought process but Harbaugh knows how to build a team that is strong from the ground up and I would take that chance over another unknown or retread any day. We will see how things shake out but we need someone to develop Bryce through developing his support system around him on the field and ensuring the defense stays strong and focuses on stopping the run and PA since we have been abysmal in those departments almost a decade now.
  16. They could bring Cam into the FO whether in a formal position or a specific one to utilize his best attributes, his personality. He could be a good mentor and help mediate things that the team are lacking in the identity and culture department. Too often are these things mediate by old fashioned people that have no finger on the pulse of the current temperature of the generation. We need to be at the forefront of something in this league and I feel Cam could provide this.
  17. Lowkey hoping we put the transition tag on Burns which forces a team to give up 2 firsts for him similar to the offer from the Rams last year. Win/Win imo. Use it on Brock Bowers if he's there where the pick lays or the other option would be on Chop Robinson depending on how much he falls or if he's there possibly in the second.
  18. Egbuka would be lovely for the 2nd round pick
  19. Outside of that we looked a decent amount better on offense solely in the mistakes department. Next to no OL penalties, the line didn’t give up an absurd amount of pressure, and dare I say the routes run were great along with most but not all of the calls. Byrce had some balls with life others that looked like flailing ducks. I’ll excuse him somewhat because of the weather but I will say if he’s going to throw off his toes he’s got to work on generating more power from his base on some of the throws to be more consistent whether he’s being pressure or not.
  20. Yet another thread oozing with opportunity to get some positivity surrounding the current starting QB and yet not many want to speak on anything, good or bad. Weird that the toxic mod who hates Bryce’s guts never holds a convo in threads like this.
  21. fug it why not. If he takes the interview Tepper better be smart enough to ask him and every candidate the same thing. How will you get the most out of Bryce Young, if you can how can you ensure another rebuild won't happen, and lastly are you ok with keeping Evero? All 3 should be answered with confidence and a lie detector test and boom, Jim Harbaugh will be the next Panthers coach (lol I wish).
