What can we actually lose by doing this? Absolutely nothing. Let's see what he's got for a whole game. If he sucks a whole game, bubble wrap him. No complaints here. We know what would happen though He's itching to prove the NFL wrong, especially Pickett going before him with his two year record effort at Ole Miss. If I was his coach I'd be intrigued by that motivation that desire to take the bag then take the NFLs bag. -

I'm not just being a super homer here but his dad does have a statue outside the stadium, surely the organization can welcome Sam Jr back in some kind of capacity. Him and Wilks worked together if I'm not mistaken.

Joe Person: Panthers expected to name Baker Mayfield Week 1 starter.

Corral was the most talented to play at Ole Miss since Eli. Best QB in the SEC 2021 and arguably 2022. I think this organization is trying to convince him he's nothing but a third rounder until THEY build him back up. Which is small minded. Same trick ownership has been playing with this fan base. Tearing it down to "build back better". They've stumbled and flailed and operate in a very backward manor most of the time. Irrational. No building has taken place much like Rock Hill. Insanity? Rhule is on his third failed NFL castaway QB in 3yrs. Does that sound like somebody who knows what he's doing? How to choose a QB? Kicked Cam out called Cam back?! Now Sam gets thrown under the bus in favor of Baker. The same strategy for the last couple losing seasons, it's gotta work now! -
Sam Mills was a great man. I only briefly saw him coming out of Eddie Bauer in South Park, we briefly acknowledged each other he was gone months later. I'll always treasure that moment I saw Sam Mills in person. Glad I didn't go into geek mode.

How about games when the Panthers put somebody out of the game... Career even... Michael Irving and Deon Sanders - Both put into Charlotte Memorial Hospital that night. Dante Culpepper. Donovan McNabb (playoffs) Chris Simms (If I remember correctly Jenkins busted his spleen.) If anybody can remember more or make corrections thx. We used to be scary.

Is that the one when Kris Jenkins blocked that field goal? Didn't Pep block one that game too?

Wasn't it nice to have a great record against the Patriots for those couple years? Cam this Cam that but Cam as a Panther owned the Patriots. We were actually the team they didn't want to see at the end of it all. They got the Falcants instead. Lucky them.

We've been screwed many many times but that one right there, I was screaming at the refs, foaming at the mouth in the first quarter, they came in to screw us, it was obvious in the first quarter. They could hit us we couldn't hit them. They were allowed to play aggressive we couldn't touch any of them or else. Dude jumped into our backfield, no flag, he just slowly walks backward into place.

Superbowl 38 proved to the world that the Carolina Panthers had arrived and we weren't going anywhere. That game put the team on the map. I still think that was the best game this team has ever played. It was a brawl and I've never been more proud of our guys. Superbowl 50 had that potential but it was very obviously rigged for a Payton Manning swan song.

Fanatics.

I love how this defense is playing. I don't know if it's Wilks but the secondary is playing like mad dogs. #31 and that hit?! Them boys where hittin'! Don't you say NOTHING bad about Phil Snow...
-
I have absolutely 0 complaints about Phil Snow and this defense.
-
It was never a QB competition.

Used underwear doesn't excite me.

Smh.

See!!! They are BOTH backups not starters guys. We need to see what Corral has got before next draft. We most likely, because of Rhule, will have a top ten pick and this QB class is supposed to be good. We need to know what the kid has. The bench and the fewest reps doesn't help in this scenario.

Matt Rhule doesn't have this team prepared, again. Our "starter" isn't even ready. They forced this Baker thing but whenever Baker takes a baby step it's but Sam is making completions actually moving the ball looking more ready every session. Sam is fools gold, we know that. Baker hasn't established himself as the clear leader either not with his play on the field. Here we are with still no "starter" and two weak veterans.

Upgrades.

Upgraded offense? Good thing I didn't I would have busted a gut laughing my ass off. McAdoo, yes, upgrade but Rhules rules.
-
No mention of our prolific offense. That's like complimenting someone's one good feature. Omission. He didn't say "team" he just praised the Phil Snow defense.
-
Lol, that's a backhanded diss. Went over some heads there. Our coach is a joke.
-
Sorry Baker Mayfield doesn't look like an NFL QB no matter how many reps him and Matt Rhule keep away from Corral.

I like how he did the Mayfield Darnold competition one much taller one much shorter and was like, neither. So true. Matt Rhule is still your coach. Lol, everybody knows now that our coach is clueless. Everybody but the Baker Bros realize that's the biggest weakness thus canceling the 1% difference between Sam and Baker.
