  1. Panthers were never a frontrunner team. Just like my Cubbies. Very easy to be a patient and loyal Panthers fan if you love the Cubs. I talk a lot of junk about decisions that have been made but to me the best chance at getting to the Superbowl again in short order IS Harbaugh. I didn't think David Tepper would ever figure it out but being first in line to talk to Harbaugh really gives me hope. I just happen to believe the Panthers are indeed #1 on his list. I've felt the pull of that destiny for quite some time. If the Panthers win a Superbowl they've got a ten year pass from me.
  2. Jim Harbaugh is the most proven and successful former NFL HC available. Not to mention very competitive college teams sandwiching his 4yr dominance and Superbowl appearance with the 49ers a bunch of ungrateful whiners who wouldn't have made it without HIM and the system and the discipline he brought. You humps should be grateful he is considering coming here and you should be THANKING Mr David Tepper for making that call.
  3. Lifelong Cubs fan here, 2016 was sooooo satisfying and the curse of the goat lifted, I think I can speak for us loyal long timers in saying, that win is everlasting. I'm good for another hundred years...
  4. I just have this feeling that being benched and questioned has lit a fire under Sam's ars. Watching him in camp, fan fest, last couple games he looks like a veteran. He's making better decisions, understanding his strengths and limitations. He's not making the same mistakes it looks like to me that the game has slowed down for him, or maybe this is actually the best offensive line he's ever played with.
  5. They can't see that Darnold actually living up to his potential would be a good thing to keep around. The QB competition in camp would rightfully be between Sam and Matt like dummy Rhule should have done this training camp. Instead virtual reps for Corral and the lions share for a guy not on the team anymore.
  6. That's why people hated playing the Cowboys, because you'd be playing against biased refs too.
  7. Globe Trotters vs Washington Generals. Clete Blakeman famously cheated for the Broncos against the Panthers our last Superbowl. Referees clearly and boldly engineer the outcomes of games. 49ers vs Panthers playoff game?! Obviously fixed from the jump. NFL entertainment.
  8. The Panthers getting jobbed by refs is not a new thing unfortunately. They were helping the Cowboys as usual back then, and back then the Cowboys got lots of help.
  9. My only question is are they cheap AND high quality?
  10. You can't win if you're not there. I'm happy we've at least been there twice in less than twenty years.
  11. Nobody thought Jake Delhomme was all that either.
  12. No. This defense is better than that. Competent offense and adding to this defense and you're looking at 10-7 or better.
  13. The organization can save a lot of money if they roll with Wilks, Corral and sign Sam to a Derick Anderson type of contract. Put that cash your not shoveling into average at best QBs into WRs, defense.
  14. Nope. I have #30 Minter, #89 Smith, bought my wife a Reebok OG #1 Newton before he took an official snap.
  15. Exactly. We are going to see just how good or bad Matt Corral is. It's on the menu. What's a fish fry without the fish?
  16. No basis for your argument. We will remain in the opposite spectrum if you think they're not going to play a QB they just drafted. A project means you intend to do something, which is the opposite of what you're trying to cook. Please stop it with the "preseason" stuff. He wasn't allowed to compete so much so dummy Matt Rhule was determined to coddle the guy to play Baker, Sam, PJ, to make his decisions look legit, and they weren't. You have absolutely no idea how Corral looks behind NFL players. 0 idea, because you never saw it. Just wait before you hate.
  17. Had it until there. Again, NOBODY knows that yet. It's very likely we see Matt Corral play. Matt Rhule's stupidity shouldn't be going such a long way to color a player a bust before his first official snap. Why is the deck stacked against him. He's the only QB under contract next season and a friggin BARGAIN for once. Why wouldn't the Panthers play him after his been soaking up paychecks and rehab for a year by the time takes a snap. A guy who's been on the payroll that the organization moved up to draft, the QB1 on McAdoo's big board, arguably the best QB in the SEC in 2021? That guy isn't playing? He's playing. He'll probably get an opportunity even with a new coach. They may even like him enough to interview Lane Kiffin, then there would absolutely be no question. Harbaugh would probably like Corrals skillset too. The Panthers are going to more than just kick the tires on Corral. They're going to see what they've got and we will too.
  18. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/hornets-kelly-oubre-scores-28-points-in-loss/ 28pts 6th game in a row with 20+ points. Oubre supplied 28 points (11-20 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 41 minutes during Wednesday's 122-116 loss to the Nets. Oubre scored 18 of his 28 points in the second half while making seven of his 13 shot attempts after halftime. He's scored at least 20 points in eight of his last nine games and is averaging 24.3 points while making 48.0 percent of his shots in that span. He's averaging more than 20 points per game for the first time in his career -- 20.4 points per game to be exact -- and his 32.7 minutes per game are his most since the 2019-2020 season.
  19. To be determined. I love his locker room and sideline presence a lot but sometimes I see how his name puts him in a stratosphere his play hasn't quite caught up to yet. Especially the most important thing, availability.
  20. I can say a guy is a good prospect. You may not have liked "Operation Golden Corral" but it was daring a stupid man to save his job with the only QB on the roster with enough upside to save his job and give people hope in a fresh new blue chip QB. I have to stand up for the downtrodden. To much hate for that young man on here to sit back and let people spew all kinds of foolishness like they've already seen him play in the NFL and nobody has seen him play in the NFL. He was damn good in college, not just OK. Give the shade a break. I'll always root for the underdog. That's Matt Corral and that's always been the Panthers...
  21. And Kinny Pickett was the only first rounder. Tell me what else wasn't normal about that draft at QB, especially when they said it was a "deep" draft. And you're defending Matt Rhules stupidity(Baker/"QB competition") to cast a bad shadow on Corral?! Pretty low blows. Corral was evaluated before the Panthers and although third rounders don't get invited to the draft to dress nice and be on TV, Matt Corral was. Why? Because he graded out as a late first rounder. None of this circular roundabout conversation will change that FACT. Those that want Corral and the Panthers to fail will continue to harp on the but, but, but the third round are the ingrown toenails of this fan base. Everybody should be hoping he is the steal they thought he would be but teh huddle will huddle. Pedigree.
  22. They wouldn't have done that IF he didn't grade out. I'm not Matt Corrals, cousin, daddy or brother so I'm not looking at the kid with love in my eyes, WE (me, the Panthers, scouts) are looking at what the player has accomplished, his skillset, accuracy, What he's done on the field. The kid has a ton of potential and a ton of heart. The huddle narrative doesn't fit reality. IF he was who you say he was nobody would move up in the draft to get him, but they did. He was a superior college QB, he put up the numbers and did so accurately. Hold your horses hot rod. He hasn't even taken an NFL snap.
  23. Don't remember but he was always "team friendly" come contract or extension time.
  24. They picked him up as a "steal" in the third in their eyes, widely publicized as such, what about that says "backup". You guys need to see him play in the NFL before prematurely writing the dude off.
