Tepper enamored with Ben Johnson per Person

The only thing that doesn't match your statement is the record on the field. Richardson spanks Tepper like a bald baby in that respect. -

You were always with the flip the apple cart and blow it up crowd. You love some "hot new". Your crowd is always rebuilding instead of winning. Let someone else hire potentially the best HC in football by win percentage and actual success in college AND dominated in the NFL. YOU don't want that guy Scot. YOU want foolishness. The Scottish don't produce wimps, just the opposite, warriors. You don't have the eye for warriors. I wonder about you sometimes. -

We were once proud. We were here talking smack to Falcunts and Ain'ts fans, with impunity. Anybody remember that? Were any of you even around back then?! -

Thread. He can't afford to do this again, to think he's not running into the arms of Harbaugh or Reich at least is very reminiscent of Tepper/Rhule. Scary. -

And with Harbaugh would kick our ass with any coach you have in mind. With the Panthers Harbaugh would immediately dominate the NFCS if not the NFC as a whole. You hush with all that shiney penny talk of yours, we're talking about grown men. Harbaugh 2023 -

Not pooing on Johnson at all here because that would be exciting, but IF he failed it would crush the fan base. I just think proven HCs Harbaugh(who WANTS the job), Reich, Kiffin, Scott Turner(never a HC but deserves it)give you a much better chance at turning our team around NOW. Especially Harbaugh. You do that EVERYBODY knows you ain't f'n around no more. -

Sounds like he'd be an excellent OC. Don't have any idea what kind of HC he'd be. Tepper as a better wouldn't be the bet to follow he's been atrocious. -

McDermott had waaaaay more experience under his belt from Philly with Andy Reid iirc and then came here and paid his dues. That hire was a great calculated decision. The only equal I'd give to the McDermott hire today would be Scott Turner. He really deserves a shot yet nobody is talking about him. He's really paid his dues, stayed in the NFL and still has the wealth of his dad and his former friends and colleagues to fall back on. I'm not into these "hot new" guys. That's what Rhule was and many failures before him. -

When greatness calls, when proven winners reach out because they want to help YOU achieve greatness and you thirst for ANOTHER guy who hasn't proven himself as a NFL HC? Tepper hasn't learned his lesson yet. Let someone else pop the first time HC cherry. You just failed horribly trying to create a NFL HC. What this team needs NOW AFTER A FAILED UPSTART isn't another upstart. THIS team as it stands NEEDS an experienced leader to take them to the next level of which they are NOW ready to ascend to WITH an experienced executive not another guy we're waiting for to figure out the HC job which is a far cry from OC or DC. Chief executive. Harbaugh 2023 -

I'm a former Scott Turner bandwagon member. His name has gone cold recently but I agree. -

Nope. Never wanted Watson. I was the one who said I'd rather dig Cam up than have Watson here. -

Nah. Sadly my 12 year old son. My only child passed away December 15 :-(. I had to step away for a while, obviously. Thanks for thinking about me. I love you guys. Don't know how long me or my wife have left either. -

They agreed to let him interview, define his market price and come back to the Panthers in the end with his offers. Thus the phone call. -

What is a bonus is Harbaugh and his staff have intimate knowledge of the college players coming out. He's already tapped in and working with the next generation of NFL players. -

Also, before he took the San Fran job the media was asking if Harbaugh could work with that sh*t show if a disfunctional front office. He lead them to greatness. Dominance. Despite the naysayers Jim Harbaugh reached out to the Panthers first, to let them know they were #1 or 1b on his list. Relax. He'll hit the interview circuit, save the Panthers visit for last. -

Jim Harbaugh Current position: University of Michigan head coach Pros: On paper, Harbaugh checks off a ton of boxes in the modern NFL. He is a former NFL quarterback who played 15 seasons in the league. He’s also a sound offensive mind and a proven developer of the quarterback position. His success at both the college (132-52) and NFL (44-19-1) levels is unparalleled within the current scope of the coaching carousel and his four-year stint in San Francisco led to three NFC title game appearances and a run to a Super Bowl, which the 49ers lost by 3 points. He never had a losing season with the 49ers. Cons: While his resume and win totals are pretty, the end of his tenure in San Francisco was ugly. Harbaugh reportedly lost a power struggle with the 49ers’ front office and ownership and was let go after an 8-8 season. Despite his accomplishments, he was passed over for the Minnesota Vikings’ head coaching gig last year for Kevin O’Connell, who had never been a head coach before. Harbaugh is known for wanting overarching control wherever he’s gone, which is an outlook that the Panthers just dealt with during Rhule’s failed tenure. Hiring Harbaugh could cause a massive shakeup of the front office structure as well. He’s also gained a reputation of leveraging NFL interest for bigger contract extensions at Michigan, which could lead to a waste of time in the Panthers’ search The focus on the Vikings as a con isn't substantive and is a purely overblown take to be seriously considered a "con" worthy of mention. Ok, if you didn't know geniuses and people that are very very good at stuff are usually odd sometimes very awkward folk with laser focus. Bill Belichick is odd. A very different guy. A guy with 6 rings. That's not normal. Normal ISN'T what we want here. GREAT isn't normal. Jim Harbaugh 2023 -
So which QB do we think will be available at #9?

So much so, reportedly Tepper wanted Fields and Rhule and co. wanted something more used and broken. -
Harbaugh already touched base with the Panthers organization. He'll make the Panthers his last interview and sign here.

They put Deon AND Irving in the hospital that day.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jim-harbaugh-nfl-rumors-michigan-coach-talked-with-panthers-but-owner-david-tepper-didnt-initiate-call/ Maybe not but JJ put an article out today and didn't mention that info, why not? That would have been a great way to break that news today.

Non-story. If he was so hard to work with he wouldn't have been employed as long as he has and have had the success he's had. I'm calling B.S., it didn't come from Stanford or Michigan did it? The sh*t show front office in SF their media buddies and lazy highly paid underachievers get to define a man's character while their very own is highly questionable. Par for the course these days. Carry on.
