Cam is a generational talent. There is no other Cam Newton. Josh Allen maybe but Cam wasn't just a good runner he was an ELITE runner in the open field delivering blows. Richardson is a reach if people "see" Cam Newton they must be squinting really hard to really blur his image to make themselves believe it because the stats, the dominance isn't there. Pure potential, and that "potential" has to survive in and adapt to the NFL which is already a huge physical, mental learning curve.

I too had him as my second choice. Welcome to the Reich side of the FORCE!

Jim Harbaugh wanted this job. The candidates were more experienced than Wilksy and Reich is a former NFL QB/QB coach/OC/HC. That's a full resume not many men can match. Nothing racist about it. If it was Wilks vs Deon Sanders for a HC position right now, who would get it. Tossup in my opinion, some may decide neither but the point about "tiers" is self evident. Now say Mike Tomlin. That's another tier.

Reich has paid his dues just as long or longer to come back "home" too.

8-4 would have been "credible". 10-2 would have been "incredible". If we're really being honest 6-6 was OK. 7-5 would have been "good".

Let's go! My 2nd choice is here! Former Panther who threw the first touchdown in franchise history... He embodies KEEP POUNDING and was there at the start! None of us know how much time we have left with our family which is the most valuable part of life, not jobs, not money, not being a millionaire or a billionaire because most of them would give it all up for their children, I would. I'm so happy his family finally gets to be together again. Now, back to the grind, make the NFCS pay dearly for their insolence.

HC/QB coach/OC

I think having been through Indy with Irsay, Carolina with Tepper in a place he calls home will boost his coaching performance and coaching basically at home is a dream job I'm very very sure he's not going to take for granted. I think it's a better fit than many even realize until they see the magic happening.

I wouldn't be surprised. I thought they were going to hire him straight out of Indy because it was such a perfect fit. Everybody knows I want Harbaugh but even I can't deny Reich is the perfect fit for the Panthers. His family is still here, his kids grew up here, his grandkids are here. This job to him is about FAMILY. His Panthers family who still appreciate 1996 and remember him as our QB and a place he calls home. I really hope they can keep Wilks as DC/Assistant HC.
