Realistically Terry is LaMelo's backup at the point but while DeVonte was OK with backing up Melo, would Terry be OK with coming off the bench? If he is great. If he isn't, look for more roster movement before the trade deadline later. I for one wanted to keep Graham as #2 point guard. He had great chemistry with Melo, wasn't requiring a ton of money and was a role player. Terry would be a very high priced backup for Melo and a VERY undersized SG when we have guys who fit the position. Interesting days ahead. What's for sure is change.

We got killed in the playoffs when we couldn't run and gun. To grow up and win playoff basketball we'll need to get the ball into the post even if that guy passes it back. They were woefully schooled and embarrassed when they couldn't run and hit shots, that's now the blueprint. Dwight to the Lakers again shows us how important half court basketball is. Your team can make it to the playoffs running but we must be able to play in the paint and have a way to score in the paint or we won't get far. Carey looked very promising. I'll be watching him closely because to make it any further than we did last season we'll need Vernon to step up big time.

I'd like them to get a scoring low post, half court center instead of all these gazelles but the style of play with LaMelo and the scoring threats from 1-4 may cover up the need for a dominant 5, but when the playoffs come the half court game IS the game.
