My problem with Pickett isn't height although some sites still have him at 6'2". Pickett is scary because of his one great season. Pickett had a 67% completion on 1 out of 5 years. Before that his completion% has been 59%, 58%,61%,61%. In comparison my boy Carson Strong was 63%, 70%,70% in just 3years.

Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman
rippadonn replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
They are sooo backwards. At 6 you need a scorer. If they can get 2 picks for that #6, THEN you can get the Olineman we desperately need. Those top picks are reserved for those who can stop the score or score the ball. It's like they need football for dummies. -
Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman

Tricking the media seems to be a desire of Tepper since he's arrived. Not in a good way either, so much so he's looked like a douche. Remember "We want to win a championship with Cam"? THAT was a lie. The media had info that he was trying to get rid of Cam almost on day one. Then, are you a doctor? Casting a bad light on Cams health before low balling him then cutting him abruptly with a year left on his contract. Maybe people would stupidly accept the lack of integrity if he'd put us in a better position but he destroyed everything to absolutely no avail. Smokescreens so far have been to the detrimental of this franchise, it's standing, it's reputation, and integrity. My best advice to that man is, be a better man. Value your word and build integrity instead of your cutthroat stab you in the back culture you brought from Wall Street. Your not going to win or lose any more by putting integrity and your best foot forward. He needs to stop being an ass. -
Where the heck is Kurb? Haven't seen him around here that much

Tom Brady 6'3" Matthew Stafford 6'3" Patrick Mahomes 6'3" These are our most recent greats. Size matters. Especially in the NFL. 6' QBs just don't hold up for long especially if they are lightweight. Look at RG3, Tua struggling, Kyler Murray struggling. Limitations become that much more amplified in the NFL. IF Sam Howell was bigger he'd be more highly regarded, but when you come in under 6' that really hurts an NFL prospect.

Not lobbying for expansion so he could enjoy the experience of trial and error with a new fanbase who are just happy to have an NFL team. Instead dude turned the Carolina Panthers who had a pretty decent NFL history into a defacto expansion team with NO stars and an amateur NFL coach for his own "back to square one" entertainment. Nobody else is entertained by his flailing and failing. We didn't deserve our franchise being turned to dog poo.

Wow, why are this year's QBs all smallish for the position? Pickett 6'2" Willis/Howell/ Corral 6' Carson Strong at 6'4" will be there and will be ready! He's the outlier in this class.

This is exactly what I was saying teams like the Jets do. They always need a QB because they go with the consensus. Look at Justin Herbert for example and Zach Wilson. Two different trajectories. My last QB crush of last season is slated to start behind Tom Brady... https://clutchpoints.com/rumor-buccaneers-stance-on-kyle-trask-as-tom-bradys-successor-revealed/ The Buccaneers will explore all avenues for Brady’s successor, including possibly rolling with first-year quarterback and former Florida Gators passer Kyle Trask. Palmer notes that at the moment, “nothing is in stone” for the Buccaneers regarding this matter, but at the least, Trask is in “play” to replace Brady next season. Unfortunately 6'5" 240lb accurate QBs don't appeal to the Jets OR the Panthers. All the hype (PUNDITS) is behind a bunch of QBs who are physically overachieving, yes, but at the NFL level the 6'2" and shorter guy a shade over 200lbs is a body type that doesn't lend itself to a long career in the NFL at QB unless you're an outlier like Vick or Wilson, rare. Panthers need to draft that 6'4" specimen with his bazooka arm, laser passes and over the mountain armstrength your uncle could only dream of. CARSON STRONG 2022 Yeah, Sam can be his veteran backup.

BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA

I agree. I'm just tired of all that comes with it now. He's a franchise QB. No doubt about it. -

The future is NOW. Stop chasing free agent QBs. "Building" should have started by letting Marty move up a couple spots for Justin Herbert. Everybody would have agreed with moving on from Cam at that point even Cam but what they did was like WTF? Marty was going try and leave the OROY as his parting gift. He was in Oregon at Herbert's pro day when others were locking down. He was over-Rhuled and they went defense instead, D.Brown. Deepest QB draft in quite some time last season, over-Rhuled! CB! Now here we are 10-23 later having NOT addressed the QB position, only wanton destruction and sht shows. Now, rightfully, McAdoo, is here to install his NFL offense after the embarrassing Rhule offense was quickly and handily destroyed by NFL DCs almost to comical levels of pawning, didn't matter what QB or OC in Rhules system. He's lucky he still has a job. On to the QB/Franchise problem. What would this franchise have been without Jake Delhomme and Cameron Newton? We know the journeyman and Pickles was hyped by Mel Kiper as best ever, again pundits are wrong. Pundits have Pickett and other tweeners and overachievers ahead of an obvious specimen at 6'4" with a bazooka and all the great stats including two consecutive years at 70% completion showing prowess beyond "system" what QBing is really about. Not running for 100 yards and throwing for 200, it's dropping dimes into the hands of running men and lasers into STRONG 2022 -
What would y'all think of hiring Ken Dorsey as HC next year?
rippadonn replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
That would have made more sense that giving Rhule what he did. At least Spurrier had won something. -

This is not an attractive destination anymore. It's a team without star players and a limp coach. -
It has been a selfish endeavor so far, trying to get rid of our Keep Pounding. Targeting the "face" of the franchise and still a good QB at the time for immediate disposal to make yourself/selves defacto "leaders" of that professional locker room coming straight outta Baylor. It was Teddy, it was Joe, it was Sam, it was Cam. They came in and had no answer at QB, only that they had to have a prior amateur football connection with Rhule. The results were all tied to a common denominator, Matthew. Matthew was underperforming and allegedly ordered to hire NFL coaches. I think his character analysis is correct. Everybody got thrown under the bus on the way to 10-23 and getting "it" 1000% and us understanding that it was his "system" failing in real time after scape goats were no longer there. Why wouldn't the same guy favor self preservation over the interest of others? I smell what he's cooking there.
