Did you watch the games? How many times was the defense balling out but the offense couldn't score so we eventually lost. That was damn near all of them. If the defense is close to last year's, we've actually got more weapons on offense especially and oddly at the WR position a luxury Cam never had. DJ,Robby,Marshall,CMC,Hubbard, Thomas you add an NFL level QB and we've got a playoff team. Add an above average QB and we could instantly challenge for the NFCS, so yes while your pessimism is noted your underestimation is in error. The Panthers, with the Oline additions etc. literally are an above average QB away from competing, as long as the new coordinators, QB aren't over-Rhuled. Now if you're specifically calling out Rhules propensity to f' stuff up then maybe I can agree with that statement. The coach IS this teams biggest weakness. He's been that since the first off-season.

I don't like LaMelo playing off ball like they are because if IT or Terry is off that night it's all for naught like the Knicks game. They need LaMelo with his vision, his passing to start the offense. He's possibly the best PG in the NBA why the heck do you want to change that? Yes he can score but he's one of the best passers in the league, why would you want to do without that? I understand that he has to learn about pace in different situations but even if he's lacking he is too talented not to play the point. For Cam being the best Panthers QB of all time he doesn't get the overwhelming support he should. I understand Patriots fans when Tom Brady was getting long in the tooth but as limited as this franchise is in attracting elite QBs and Cams relatively young age why not root for Cam? We watched year after year this huge talent wasted, even recently. When Cam had an elite WR his numbers were unworldly. He had Smitty on his record setting rookie year and nobody like Smitty until DJ who in DJs first year had DJ looking like an all pro then Cam was gone. Despite not having an elite WR he went 15-1 as a QB while taking an absolute licking while he kept on ticking on his way to the Superbowl. Cam is a legend. If you love the Panthers and you don't love this guy who Keeps Pounding, didn't give up, wouldn't go down who ate here lived here, gave so much to the community both on the field and off the field I really question your diehardedness. He was ready when we'd f'd up so bad we had to call. He came in and all of a sudden we were scoring again. He ran over two grown men for a TD for another NFL record rushing TD and threw a couple off his couch. Then he got basically overRhuled, stupidly. Rhule wanted the wheel back. McAdoo is here. Wilkes is back. Tabor signed up. There is no more proof other than a footprint on Rhules behind that the organization is tired of losing. Somebody is going to get a really good QB for pennies on the dollar. If you draft Strong who is not being talked about or hyped at all and has the most boom potential as a NFL starter at say late 20's into the early second THAT rookie contract is going to be GOLD. He's not getting slobbered on so a contender is going to pick up this kid and will have gotten the diamond in this rough QB draft and will dominate with him. Strong 2022!
