Incredible athleticism and size advantage
rippadonn replied to TheMostInterestingMan's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Kai is a good blocker too. The length on this squad is intriguing and the defensive potential here is pretty outstanding if these two guys can become your permanent 4,5 combo. Mitch is the man. I can see it coming together. Cliff never had a better roster and this is a huge opportunity for him to lift himself as an already experienced HC. Clifford will serve the squad better in the playoffs this season as a coach. I truly think he would have done a better job of having them prepared for the playoffs. -

6'11" 220lb Kai Jones really showed that he deserves a roster spot this season. He earned it. I don't think Clifford changes things much as far as the potential here with this group. Clifford MUST get Williams on the floor. We can't afford to have a 7'2" 245lb Dpoy playing with the Swarm. That defense needs to be plugged in immediately. Kai is a natural scorer. I think he has Shawn Kemp potential. If Cliff can plug those two bigs into the current roster with Melo and crew we'll be on to something finally. -
You got dissed by the pretty girl in the middle of the lunchroom and you get back to your ex. I get it. You're safe now.

Let's Go!

I'm poking at the lottery. NC didn't think their citizens would be giving SC all that $$$$. They'd thought about a lottery before that but declined to do it then SC did it.
-
South Carolina has to do it first THEN NC will think about it. Lol

7'2" 245lb DPOY seems like exactly what we need. Play Kai as a PF and Williams at C. LaMelo should be happy this year as long as his road dog gets his too. All of a sudden we're a big team. Still got Mason Plumley.

They got who they wanted. They didn't value the other pick enough not to get something in return for it. Maybe nobody wanted to swap for 13 and 15 at the top of the draft or maybe the guy THEY wanted would be there at 13 or 15 and they knew it.

You know, like others have said, having slept on it. I'm ok with it now...

You're Lavar Balls #1 fan now. He'd agree.

D'Antoni would be great though but for how long. It's a grind. You kind of gotta look at Mark Jackson at this point purely from a next best experienced coach, 120 wins to 109 losses with GS. He'd know exactly where to go with this squad. He's been controversial lately but Charlotte is in the bible belt so the room is different here and more understanding.
-
For real though, Hire THIS guy.
-
He wouldn't have to pay a coach. Save some $$$

I don't care about the outcome. I'd love to see it. It would be box-office. There would have to be a documentary crew filming every minute. It would be the biggest story and biggest spectacle in the NBA. I don't care if he failed, it would be must see TV. MJ would probably have a tough time with refs these days.

That's all that matters for now. So yay!
-
Still trying to make sense of it all. It may be that someone in the front office got trade happy. Why couldn't we just keep both and let three guys compete for the position. I'm not mad about Williams though.
-
Ok, I get it, Kai Jones and Duren may be too similar. Williams comes in at 7'2" so he can play him at C and Kai at PF or C. That MAY be the rational.

They hate us. So do the Panthers.

Lol. Paychecks and pensions matter, or else! You're ignoring the doctors and scientists in opposition of which there are many. I've read a study published in 2019 that said the tech wasn't ready yet, although ambitious, needed time. Science stuff. See, that info wasn't from Faux News or msdnc.

He thinks I am too. I voted for Obama once.

So all doctors agree...

You've just said stupid poo. Not me. Read up.
