  1. If Corral beats him out that plan would be a disaster. You would have passed on Will Anderson and Miles Murphy for........Matt Corral.
  2. That means you (not u Wundr)actually trust a good ol' Matt Rhule QB evaluation. We knew this was Fitts, McAdoo and maybe Tepper because Rhule was in love with someone else entirely.
  3. One could say Alabama and OSU kind of "makes" players. Corral "made" Ole Miss a much better team when he was there. Cease and settle children.
  4. I think Wilks is going to win some games. So getting hopes up on having the #1 and speculation at this point is futile.
  5. That's if we stay 3-4, I've already said that if we go back to 4-3 it needs to be Miles Murphy, heck I'd pick Murphy anyways. We need another DE as badly as we need a QB. A guy like Murphy with Brian Burns and D. Brown would be a menace for years to come. You have your quarterback already, go back and watch his individual performances at Ole Miss against the SEC powerhouses. He made Ole Miss a contender. It was him. There's no debating that. He's getting stronger as we speak. Don't be greedy. Get that DE.
  6. You guys can whine, kick, scream, pout, but the Panthers already picked a QB. They're not going to pass on Will Anderson
  7. Coaching is very important. The QB is the engine and the coach is the steering rack and steering wheel. All that horsepower ain't a damn thing without control of the car.
  8. The Op is right you know. Bottom feeder teams are always in position to draft "the best QB" and what happens? Jets, Dolphins?
  9. Get ready. The organization was sold on Corral as the best QB of that draft, he was allegedly #1 on their QB board. He's going to get his shot. Like it or not. It would be stupid for them NOT to give him his shot after spending draft capital to get him. Relax. He's a good/great QB that brought Ole Miss back from the dead. This is the kid.
  10. I went back and watched the tape on Fitterer and Rhule talking about drafting Corral. If you listen back you'll hear that they never intended for him to start this season. They called him a "developmental" pick. That's what they're doing. He strengthening, he's bulking up and he'll have the same skills that made him a top recruit his whole career. Cease and settle.
  11. Fines and picks are worth it I guess. He does fit into the category of former Superbowl winning coach. Can he buck the trend. Perhaps. John Gruden could not. What was good about Andy Reid was he'd been to the dance but hadn't won it all so he didn't fall into that statistic therefore was still a valid hire for a team wanting to "get there". The guy in Michigan fits the Andy Reid model.
  12. I know how you'd feel As you should. Another hook up culture hire won't go well with fans. People seem to think Harbaugh isn't nice enough to be a great NFL coach. Spoiler alert : he already proved it to the NFL. This hire needs to be merit based, not about who knows who. Dan Quinn couldn't win in the NFC South it's obvious he doesn't need to return.
  13. Wow, NFL owners must be a more trashy bunch than we could ever realize. I'll bet you Jerry Richardson is a choir boy compared to these guys. I'm almost sure of it.
  14. Just trying to prepare others for the inevitable. There's a lot of dreaming going on. Teppers next move will be much more pragmatic and less cutting edge hopefulness. He's looking for a lock. If Wilks isn't it. I know a guy. I'll drive up to Michigan myself and help him pack.
  15. Tepper after this article after what he's been through is most definitely NOT taking chances with an upstart coach. You guys see the writing on the wall right? It's not going to be the hottest new up and coming OC/DC. He's going to go and get a coach who's had success in the NFL. We know Tepper has a hard on for Sean Payton and it is painfully obvious but he couldn't keep Rhule long enough for Payton's contract to expire. So now Scot can trim his list to experience only and we can go from there. He's fired Rhule when he really didn't want to and to me that's a major course correction for him that was unexpected but very welcome indeed. There is hope for this Tepper guy yet and still.
  16. Rhule made Brady and probably McAdoo run his "system". Before Rhule was hired some reporter had the nerve to call him a QB guru. In hindsight that was the most stupid statement of that year. Fast forward to now and we can all see Rhule was like ankle weights to any NFL QB he brought in. Thank goodness he's gone before his guruness messed up Matt Corral too. It's probably best he did put Corral at the end of the bench away from his bad QB juju.
  17. His daddy and grandpa were QBs if I read correctly. Lineage. Legacy QB
