Sam actually moved the ball in camp and was the only QB that was moving the ball between him and Baker at fanfest. Baker did a lot of running to the sidelines. Sam was typical practice Sam, good throws, scrambles.

Game 1 - Charlotte Hornets @ San Antonio Spurs - 8PM

I think they never planned to keep both picks and we're determined to get "something" in return. I may sound like an idiot in a month but seeing Richards today, playing ball effortlessly, beasting. If that's the real Nick Richards I'm not mad at the Duren trade. We've been missing an above average center since Al Jefferson. -

This team may be OK. Guys like Oubre and Hayward are picking up the slack. Richards is becoming a legit starter, Cliff loves him and that pick may turn out to be gold. I dare to say Richards ceiling is higher than PJs. I'm over here giggling over how Nick has worked his way into starting center form. I don't think this is hyperbole, I think with Richards playing like he did tonight and Melo coming back, Terry, Oubre, Gordon scoring, PJ and Richards defending playing like they were, playoffs are more than possible. First game shows the difference a more experienced coaching staff makes. Could it all finally be coming together. Don't wake me! -

The Broncos won with pass rushers and a fanboy head referee. We can get the DEs. Tepper needs to come out of his pockets for the refs.

I smell what you're cooking and I like it.

Short article?

Patriots swapped the pick and got Zappe in the fourth. Zappe has played already and the Panthers will owe a pick in the 60's 70's. They must now prove their pick was on point to match what they've given up. MC9 is playing folks. Our d line will take a huge step adding any DE that can create a modicum of pressure on the other side.

Panthers designated Sam Darnold to return from IR.

Yeah, I didn't see the "arm" they're talking about, I didn't see any zip on his intermediate passes. -
When Steve Smith (and Moose) caught the ball HE became the aggressor. He attacked. He'd stiff arm a guy's face into the dirt. 5 Houston Texans piled on the guy he pops out and runs away for a TD iirc. He destroyed the Bears and Giants. CMC has dominated but not on that level not like Smitty. How many teams best player at any given time is a wide receiver? CMC is good but Smitty had that dog in him and played like he was 6'2".

Steve Smith was like a angry bobcat in a bathroom every game. Anyone who has ever had to deal with a feline that's flipped it's sht, a 5lb cat can clear out a room of adults.

Trust me, this kid Corral will come back stronger. His mental makeup(determination, aggression) will push him. Better believe he'll be ready. Being that somehow three QBs got injured under Matt Rhule I'm going to chalk that up to negligence. This team wasn't prepared to play on day one and we saw it coming from the bullsh*t camp Rhule put on. It was an idiotic waste of time while other coaches who could actually build a roster had their guys good to go. Rhule THOUGHT he was playing a mind game with Sam, the media and the fan base. Everybody knew why he brought Baker but he wanted to sell a "competition" that didn't include all Qbs and was fictionally between on Sam and Baker but it was always Baker. His obsession with Wayward already failed, flawed veterans was beyond stupid and he tried to cover it up like an addict, not Fhuling anybody. Huddlers got all sensitive about Operation Golden Corral which was only to point out Rhules biggest flaw as an NFL coach, a flaw of his that in a necessary strength in building an NFL, playing a rookie QB into stardom or bust. Like an addict he thought he would prosper taking the easy way out.

If the question is Stroud or Young it's Stroud. The constantly shrinking QB isn't a trend a can relate to. Baker is two inches taller than Young and he's having his issues adjusting after five years. The NFL is hard enough as it is, you need every advantage, technical AND physical. The question is adversity, there will be much more with a struggling NFL franchise that's in no way a frontrunner. Can he elevate that squad?
-
I think it's the concept of having done more with less advantages. It is a valid point. The windows all of a sudden are tighter and top of it your guy isn't getting the separation he was because everyone is fast. Or the bottom dwelling team doesn't have anybody who can catch. When a guy has an uphill battle in the first place, not the best linemen, not the best WRs, not the best TE, not the best running back, but as QB is leading this team, making their parts better as a whole!? That's your guy. That's who Corral was (1st string Corral not Rhule 3/4 squad Corral)as a QB and Levis is showing the same qualities on a non-powerhouse team (although he's looking a little different without his former OC), and being able to elevate other guys that "shouldn't even be there".

If Cam rules were applied Brady, Brees, Rodgers would be out of the game by now. Probably five, ten years less for those guys. They're coddled, protected, valued. The NFL allowed Cam to be beaten like a mule in the pocket, not running, IN THE POCKET. The rules would be fine if they applied to everyone.
-
If Cam could get it EVERYBODY should get it. 1985 rules for all not some or one.

It should be just football but these refs are influencing the outcomes of games with these call/no calls. Evidenced in our playoff game against the 49ers at BofA. It was blatant. They cheated. I remember foaming at the mouth yelling at the TV in the first quarter when the 49ers had no hope of moving the ball. They were stifled. Then the refs helped them into the end zone with a series of calls. From then on if we showed aggression, "flag". 49ers realized early they had the refs. The whole Superbowl year and before was all out hunting season on Cam Newton because they're not supposed to be HERE. Don't get me wrong. The screw jobs didn't start when Cam got here. No no no. Us OG Panthers fans remember the screw jobs especially playing Dallas. No, with Cam it was amplified more blatant to the point of "You're not old enough to get those calls". That declaration started the NFLs sick singular punishment of Cam Newton who like Cool Hand Luke (great movie), never let them win until......... Panthers vs Broncos Superbowl. Cam was earholed, high lowed, speared with absolutely no call. Illegal batting of the ball, all rules were broken for Peyton and the Broncos, Panthers were the sacrificed.

That's what I used to love when watching back on the 85 Bears, they made you pay for catching the ball. If you got their QB they'd pummel yours. Monsters.
