  1. Of course Fitts doesn't want to be wrong about Matt Corral. The Panthers likely know everything there is to know about the guy, scouted, investigated, the whole nine. Fitterer doesn't want to look Fhulish for trading up and never putting that guy on the field. He's playing, bottom line, it's a battle the young man would love to have today if he could.
  2. I calculate an extreme meltdown this draft because there really isn't anybody head and shoulders above Corral. His performance and combined stats compare favorably.
  3. I'm not against drafting Myles Murphy and bringing in a Levis or Young if we can package picks and move up. This is a value draft like last one.
  4. They really thought we would think they hit two home runs last draft, LT and a unexpected QB they already scouted and wanted.
  5. I watched Greg Hardy twist Drew Brees up like a pretzel. Drew stretched out and continued, tough. There are always acceptions to a rule but it becomes a situation of, not if but when.
  6. Young is too little much like the Op said. It's the NFL. That's scary. There are 6'6" 320 lb men flying around. Cam was 6'5" 250ish at times.
  7. Not for Justin Herbert or Matt Corral, yet and Kyle Trask is still an NFL QB. Yeah draft position matters. It's not always fair but it matters. Me and Payton Manning think Levis is the best QB in THIS class. I agree. I do think that Levis should be a late first rounder that's the sweet spot for the risk. Stroud looks good but again he has all teh best of the best recruits around him and more lined up behind them. I worry about lack of adversity. Levis and Corral had to overcome not having the best this and that.
  8. I'm man enough to admit that I love Drake Maye. He's got great athletic pedigree too. Tank for Maye, not for Stroud.
  9. Again, this is a value draft at QB. IF you do your homework and take a chance on a guy you can weed through this class a maybe get two more studs out of it, especially late first, second, third. To be honest even if I wasn't on the Corral bandwagon, I'd play him and IF he sucks, go all out for NC kid Maye. Keep him home. Move heaven and earth like we should have done to move up just a spot or two to have drafted Justin Herbert. It may have all been wasted because of having Rhule here, he would have to get a year of coddling and sitting behind inferior has been.
  10. I'm talking about a Carolina Panther QB, all that other talk, hopes, wishes, is irrelevant. Corral is a professional football player with the Carolina Panthers, hopes and wishes won't change that, only what he does or doesn't do on the field. The silly notion that he won't play is just that. They didn't trade for him, rehab him, and sign his paychecks to not play him. Leave some room for a backtrack just to be safe. Don't go full out anti-Corral, they're going to give him a chance and he just may be successful again at haters expense. He's a Panthers QB by draft not by free agency or scrap heap. He was chosen. People putting hopes, and wishes ahead of what is reality...smart. Until the draft and probably after it Matt Corral will still be HERE. Enjoy the show. He's coming with hot crow for all doubters. Bon Appetit!
  11. This gets more stupid as we go. They both may need help for real.
  12. You guys like A1 sauce on your crow meat? I'm taking names.
  13. Wilks doesn't seem to be a fan of 3-4 and the players they pick to run it. We now have to revamp the defense and sign/draft big boys again.
  14. Reich would be a great QB coach at least. That has been the weakness for a very long time. Wilks could maybe stay as DC.
  15. My former Panther QB coming back to coach his former team senses are tingling. I'm not quite sure yet but I might like it. It's complicated.
  16. The Op is an indication that while there are a lot QBs available like last season, there is again no clear #1. I've always argued on the validity of Will Levis being the top QB in this draft. His combination of size 6'3", weight 230lbs, running/trucking ability, arm strength put him above Stroud and Young as NFL ready in my book. Levis (my bandwagon QB this year) just like KP last draft is flipping the whole table because even with the new OC and the bad game against TN his completion percentage has yet to dip below 68%+. He's doing work. He's doing it on a non football powerhouse squad much like Matt Corral. Him and his ragtag bunch.
  17. They helped engineer the Baker Bowl to further embarrass us so why not? Yes, another box office related PR Op.
  18. McAdoo isn't the best OC or HC but he's a pretty good QB evaluator.
  19. I just want to see if Corral translates to the NFL, IF he does we've got a keeper. McAdoo talked about Matt Corrals "unique skillet". Let's see that. He's got some great tape from Ole Miss. Great stats. Gumption, mobility, release, accuracy. To pass up on elite defenders for a "what if" is very shaky business. Keep in mind, I was pissed when they drafted a LB in the top ten. Boy was I wrong on that one.
