Told y'all.

Coaching first. This isn't basketball. The best college QB ain't doing a damn thing on his own in the NFL. Jerry Richardson pulled the plug that year and induced the tank but it was more his act of defiance during the labor dust up. That got the #1 pick. The Panthers historically have never been in that position because although JR would spend money every other season the franchise stayed away from the bottom. Some people want to crash the ship into a rock wall to climb all the way up for a "IF". There is no clear franchise QB this draft. There are maybes. Just like last draft. A lot of maybes. Not worth a tank.

Those huge billboards would have to be moved inward for it to work. It looks like it can be done though. Otherwise, looking and observing one can see just that, it looks like it's made to be roof ready. Creative solutions can change outcomes. We don't have to put the retractable structure on top of the stadium. These broadside arches could go on both sides and build over and around BofA. That way the stadium itself isn't disturbed and games can still go on until testing. We could innovate using stacked panels of gorilla glass or something similar. Each panel is fed into the arches via huge motor system inside the arches. Each individual panels would then be sent over the tracks in the arches to form a semi roof over the stadium. There isn't anything we can't achieve here in 2022 this project isn't as impossible as some may think. The arches would add to the uptown landscape. They'd be functional art over the uptown landscape. Further landmarking. I'm totally on board with modernizing the old girl with such a project. Like others have said, there's really nothing ugly about BofA. It's still somewhat of a modern design to this day. That way if we decided to, in some kind of ownership/community partnership making practice fields, retail and a couple hotels, Charlotte would instantly have much more hosting capability for drawing large events in the stadium area and surrounding.
-
But they don't hear me though. The worst word in the English language is "can't", we should abolish that word all together.
-
Go back to grass with a retractable roof to let the rain and sunshine in. Natural grass and a top at BofA as well as adding ANOTHER hotel or two/three on Morehead/practice facility could make Charlotte all of a sudden able to meet SB "criteria".
-
This Morehead site would make a great practice facility/hotel/retail. Can Tepper make such a purchase at this time?

Put that new stadium $$$ into engineering a "roof" on top of BofA. I was just there. The old girl still looks great. Perhaps add two arches broadsides and have the clear panels run on tracks on the inside to open and close. Architecturally that setup may even enhance the beauty of the old girl and provide a dome level of utility. Gorilla glass?! The possibilities. That would be quite the project to watch go up.

We should build a huge automatic clear tarp that makes a "roof" when we need it and folds away when we don't. Convertible.

Reich has a more lengthy a much much better win percentage. Wilks is doing great but Frank has the track record.
-
Reich would be HC/OC, Wilks DC.
-
Dan Morgan has to already know Frank. I'd bet that. Make the call CheeseMo!

Kiffin has been a head coach in the NFL so that ups his percentages with the current regime NOW valuing NFL HC experience. Kiffin has been in and around the NFL his whole life. His dad is a legend. Frank Reich getting let go muddies the waters because he's a former Panthers QB (offensive minded) with a winning record as a coach in the NFL fresh off a gig with fresh contacts. Wilks I must applaud because if anything he's doing what Rhule wasn't able to do with a roster he didn't put together and a bunch of guys he wouldn't have on HIS defense. Reich/Wilks would be a plug and play situation and Frank Reich is with his family HERE in North Carolina at this very moment. He could be in the stadium within a hour or two if called. He knows the facility Charlotte was/is home. Same for Wilks.

THIS is an NFL coach. NFL pedigree. All of a sudden this roster is winning games with deficiencies instead of losing these games. Give credit where credit is due, Wilks coaching this team shows up Rhules inability to coach in the NFL. Wilks is making lemonade here. Not mad. Hopeful. Imagine a Wilks staff, roster, camp, preseason and season. I'm starting to think he's a bargain at 26M 4yrs. Already knowing a coach can win in the NFL is a huge headstart. It took us three terrible years of decay and embarrassment with Rhule to figure out that even with full autonomy he couldn't coach NFL guys out of a wet paper bag.

Not Safe For Work. I couldn't not post this. If you don't like the N word please do not click on the link. IF this guy's sources "the streets" say something we need to at least keep a ear out. Here it is, and listen I do not endorse the behavior of the messenger, not at all, wish he would have been more professional but here it is...

If you think they wouldn't do that, and the Falcons too, you don't know the NFC South. Bastards.

Bad press. "The dust up", "bad company"(his former WR he kept in touch with), drank as a college kid :-/(really?), got help for depression all leads to "character concerns". That was all a crock. I do kinda think him playing in that bowl game was very questionable on his part, especially having just "recovered " from an injury. He dropped the bag because he didn't want to abandon his guys.

The dust up with Wayne Gretzky's kid was driven into the dirt. Payback? Last laugh...

Just like I've said here, NOBODY knew Matt Corral was going to be a third rounder. Because for football reasons he was, again, projected to be a first rounder as a college player all the way up to being invited up to the green room on draft day, wearing nice clothes and whatnot. Panther fans can say the grass is greener with Stroud, Young, etc, college kids. Matt Corral will no longer be a college kid come August, he isn't now. He's a Panther coming to work everyday just like the rest of them. The doubters choose to wear blinders when it comes to Golden Corral but the Panthers didn't, they scouted him, they studied him, they talked to his coaches, they probably investigated him. They went through the whole entire process of courting a player pre draft, actually bringing him to the facility predraft, meeting coaches, ownership, FO and said player is then acquired by said team and THAT'S NOT THEIR GUY?! All of that says Corral IS their guy and YOUR QB, not Justin Herbert, Kyle Trask or Carson Strong.

I'd like to see if Will Anderson can play MLB in the NFL. He'd be an absolute monster with his size, jets, quickness, instincts at that position. I see him as a Micah Parsons type possibly not playing at his true NFL position. I think he has the potential to be very special. He's just a BPA. A smart coach will just take him and put him wherever he needs to be.

Is our GM among the head in the clouds types. Scouts? OC? Owner? The organization as a whole picks a quarterback. Picking a QB at any point in the draft is fun for any homer. It's the what if? What if he can lead this team like he did Ole Miss? Sitting on the bench in New Orleans was a QB nobody believed could take the Carolina Panthers to the Superbowl. There was nothing physically special about Jake Delhomme. Some of his passes were ducks, but they got there. What Jake lacked in height, athleticism he made up for with HEART. That's why him and #89 understood each other, you'd never question pre Tommy Joan Jake's heart or his ability to throw some ugly ducks pretty far. I can't wait until Corral gets his chance with the starters. Coming in he said he'd pursue the starter position aggressively. He actually looked good in the few practice reps we got to see, his fade throw in the end zone is a thing of beauty nobody else was reported to have swished it twice like Corral did, accuracy, touch. Baker did once, lucky. The reporters were gushing over his quick release and him being the first guy on the field. That's skill, character, determination and at Ole Miss he was fearless, aggressive and most of all played with HEART. People get injured. All football players do. He shouldn't have played in the bowl game, he should have continued to heal that injury protected his draft position but he played. He damn sure shouldn't have been made to play with a rag tag bunch of guys who probably couldn't have made Corrals highschool squad and somehow expected a Rhule assembled third string play like first stringers all around him. Good luck with that to, like any QB ever. Sabotage.
