Yeah, tunnel vision. The Panthers job is sooo attractive Jim Harbaugh has his people reach out and tell the Panthers he was sincere. Nothing. David only had black eye liner for Sean.
-
Lol, told y'all the obsession is real.
-
At this point I'm so sick of seeing this franchise in the mud I'd take winning more games and competition in the playoffs over bottom feeding regardless of Superbowls, get back on track and stay there.

As some old men often say "I don't like what you're doing but I respect it". I think he's a great coach. He'll curb stomp other lesser coaches. I'm going to channel my inner Scot here and say I wish he'd behave himself while being dominant. Best hire this off-season IF Tepper can pull it off. He shunned perhaps the other potential best coach in football so I hope it works or....yay Wilksy!

1. Is my biggest NO to him, preferred Harbaugh because he's less smug, less arrogant. I've never wanted to come through the TV screen and slap Jim Harbaugh like I've wanted to with Sean Payton. I respect his coaching tree but he's always been the unruly kid of that bunch. Not honoring his opponent, just the opposite, if you let him embarrass you he won't settle for three and run down the clock he wants to put up 50pts on hapless opponents and snicker at them from the sidelines. Not my brand of football but our owner LOVES him and if he says yes Dave will do anything. Everybody loves their own a**hole so he may change minds like Roman Harper is saying.

Sean Payton is from the Mike Ditka(Bears) tree just like Harbaugh, Rivera and Singletary.
-
Teppers pursuit of Sean Payton will be hard, fast and end with a cuddle. It was inevitable once he left the Saints. Those of us paying attention knew David Tepper has a huge man crush for Payton. I'm OK with that Dave, just as long as you GET HIM, now by any means. Someone already mentioned it, there is no bigger Panthers/Saints insider than Roman Harper and now he's singing the same tune. That puts the percentage up to astronomical. Prepare to welcome SP. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/roman-harper-panthers-fans-would-freakin-love-sean-payton/ar-AA16sc7q

Believe it or not, the average huddler could have made better decisions in their dream job of Panthers owner. Even me. The owner shunned everyone else waiting on Sean. I can't respect any of his previous decisions and the results speak for themselves but that sign should read "dear Dave". Wilks or if he waits too long maybe no Reich either...yay.
-
The favorite IS, has been and always will be Payton. Tepper basically put Harbaugh on hold waiting for Sean. Everybody knows it, Harbaugh felt slighted, undervalued because even with his record of success at all levels of football it couldn't break Teppers stare from the black liner eyed Rivera/Rhule thrasher himself Sean Payton. There is no other. The obsession is real. For his and our sake I hope he gets his love. He IS a great coach.

Petition to Change BOA Back to Natural Grass
rippadonn replied to The Huddler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some people think the opposite is smart. They start there and work backwards to where they never should have left. Example: Cam Newton Put the damn grass back! Smh -
I'm talking about wanting to be New Orleans and thinking Brady could bring that stench along with him, you know, the smell. Gladly, he didn't. On to better things for sure.
-
Joe Brady was intended to bring New Orleans and Payton ju ju. It failed.

No, the obsession is real.

This team CANNOT afford another upstart coach from college or otherwise. The learning curve for being a HC is huge and if this franchise is to pull itself out of bottom feeder territory, where Teppers learning curve has put us, the time for experiments is OVER. If we don't pull up the sticks we'll continue to go from once proud middle/sometimes top to historic Browns, Jets level losers. Tepper wants credit when this phoenix finally rises from the ashes of his willful burn down. He'll get none from me because had he built instead of destroyed we would have stayed competitive while reloading. He wants credit for making a coach like he wanted to do with Rhule, another upstart hired by Tepper isn't a good idea for him OR this franchises win %. Harbaugh apparently not being taken seriously by the Panthers organization after going through the trouble of reaching out is another BAD sign. He committed to Michigan because he was probably rebuffed by his first choice. The Panthers. You know why? Because ever since Tepper stepped in here when New Orleans happened to be dominant he's been obsessed with everything New Orleans including his long time public hard on for Sean Payton. He's to busy eternally chasing Sean Payton to even acknowledge what a great coach like Harbaugh or even a coach like Reich could provide.

I'm not comparing skills. I'm comparing bodies. I'd take Tua over Young in a cage match and rake it in. Too small. That's why I predict that Young will drop because of his body type.
-
Doesn't matter, the NFL is full of physical specimens that have the potential to end the career of someone so slight if frame. It's a tough business. If Cam couldn't hold up more than ten years, how long do guys like Young who are smaller and lighter than a guy like Tua going to hold up? His frame is a long term concern especially because high picks usually go to teams that may lack proper protection, for that reason a 6'3" 230lb Levis will be higher value to most teams.
-
They don't get it. They also continue to put Young ahead of guys five inches taller. It's the NFL and Kyler Murray doesn't help his case enough.

Panthers receive permission to interview Sean Payton

It feels dirty. Really dirty but we can't pass up on just what we need, Payton or Harbaugh. -

Oddly aroused... Don't know how to feel. Real moves to "win", names like Payton, Harbaugh... The only thing is history doesn't favor coaches who've already won Superbowls. Harbaugh missed it by three points. Hungry. -

Yup, paid his dues. Creative OC. Long track record with Wash, Panthers.
