Tell them their assessment of Matt Corral is wrong genius. Because you know better, like you did with Zach Wilson.
-
Are you with the Webster for QB crowd?
-
Tell the NFL, Panthers, hundreds of scouts, coaches etc. Don't tell me. Go tell them and get back at me.
-
It may be so but he didn't show that brilliance in a Panther uniform. What I saw was very unimpressive. My thoughts were that a guy that lanky should have a stronger arm. Matt Corral is a QB animal. His release, zip, accuracy, and also strong arm as well as escapability sets him apart from guys like Eason. Not the same class of prospect or player. Corral hasn't played yet but from jump the NFL considers him a better prospect than Eason.
-
Lol. Easons arm is not. No zipp or pop on his throws like Corral, limited range and accuracy down field. I know you don't think Eason is better than Corral?!

Whatever makes you sleep at night. Coach came in talking about wanting a top five defense and there was a glow on his face as he did so. When asked about QB he kinda blew it off in favor of talking about that top D again. From the press conference it didn't seem like he was worried about QB. You seem more concerned about that topic than he did. Keep it up though. Maybe some sucker team will give us a sh*tload for that #9 with all the QB banter. I like Will Levis but you already know that I think he should be a late first rounder at best and I'm on his bandwagon. What does it mean when Will Levis is being discussed in the top ten? It means nobody is sure about anybody at the top and CJ Stroud is the only QB that should be in the top 5 of this draft and he's not the prototype of a sure shot either, questions about adversity, frontrunning.

It was a calculated risk moving up for Corral having insight into the next draft class. They probably felt back then that moving up to get a free falling Corral would be better than investing in guys with equal or more question marks than Corral in this draft. I like the run at QB that only pushes star defenders into reach.
-
Truthfully I think our "desire for a QB" could possibly be a smoke screen to move the pick and if not they'll BPA defense, which at #9 should be one of the two monster DEs, hopefully Myles Murphy. Do that, top five defense here we come as coach publicly stated that he wants, even before QB. If anybody can coach Matt Corral up to his potential it would be Reich. Don't get it twisted either, this GM and owner want desperately to see what Reich can do with Corral so in comes the cooperative effort between coach/GM/owner. Eason is here to back up Corral and defense or trading the pick will be the order of draft day.

Fitterer came out after the draft saying Corral was a developmental pick. Corral didn't like that and said it was his goal to compete for the starting job publicly. Being that Fitt himself said he was being developed for the role publicly and what happened injury or not, this GM planned to let Rhule do what Rhule does and play Corral in the future. That same GM is still here and so is the owner that signed off on bringing Corral in to meet ownership and the staff predraft and then signed off on moving up to get that exact player. There's no doubt about it. The Panthers organization believe in this kid even though others don't.
-
This team that Rhule handpicked played like a NFL team once he was gone. You are correct NOBODY would look good under that coach AND you might get thrown under the bus. I really don't think Corral was a Rhule pick otherwise he wouldn't have been stashed. I wholeheartedly believe Corral was brought in by Fitt/Tepp as Matt Rhule always had eyes for Kenny Pickett, Corral was his stepchild.
-
"Why would he fall in this draft when he was being included in the conversation with Young + Stroud until him and the rest of the Ole Miss offensive starters got hurt?" If anybody looked at stats and film instead of believing the Matt Rhule sht show they'd see Corral would be a top three QB in this class.
-
"Regarding injury, I’m torn on that too. He didn’t have much of an injury history at all until the end of his college career. He was plenty durable. Then he hurt his ankle, and played though the pain in the last part of the season, and then got hurt in the bowl game while playing through pain. Lisfranc happened of course too." That's who you want leading your team right there. He ain't no buttercup.
-
Where did you come from?! Great post.
-
Teh huddle can't read, you'll have to speak louder. I can read and totally agree. If he comes out and busts I'll be the first to come in and say so, but he hasn't even seen the field or gotten an opportunity yet.
-
Third string Matt Rhule O line, that first string o line got Sam and Baker hurt too. He got no reps here and was put with third stringers who aren't even in the NFL. C'mon man. "Against dudes that will be HS assistant coaches / personal trainers in a year from now." Their HS assistant we're blasting through our used car salesmen. The guy had better protection in highschool. Give your Corral fan card back.

Sleep on a lion you end up being dinner.
-
Ok, dum dums. Why did the Panthers move up in a "weak" QB draft for Matt Corral? Because YOU know more about Corral than THEY do?!
-
Bryce Young would be the smallest and lightest QB in the NFL. No thanks

"I don't think Corral is as bad as he looked in preseason. I've seen BAMA fans make post about how they were glad to see him leave Ole Miss because the defense had a hard time playing against him. Chris Simms thought he was the best QB in last year's class." Exactly, people that have actually played against Corral like BAMAs own Will Anderson echoed the same sentiments about having to defend a player who can throw like all get out, run with blocking like a RB or just scramble and throw on the run or roll out on bootlegs and throw on a dime. Teh huddle would rather show this man all their hate before they embrace him. All I've got to say for the huddle chuckleheads is WHEN Fitt/Tepp put THEIR and our guy out there YOU JOKERS better hope he's nowhere near to being healthy because IF he ends up starting LIKE THEY HOPE, the bandwagon will have shut it's doors by then and you ungrateful children will have to walk all the way back home hat in hand. I'm taking names. Oh and here you go...

KB didn't come to play that day and ran a lazy route out of bounds I think, the pick happens and Cam who cared more that day sprinted to make the tackle when KB couldn't care less. Cam rehabbed from that and TJ Twatt. The problem was and continued to be the same, nobody but Rod Chuszinsky ever bothered to build a offense for Cam Newton. If someone promised that he could play today, they aren't so why then. He's got almost a million subscribers on YouTube, he's good.

We shouldn't pave a yellow brick road to the Lakers by dealing Melo's most favorite guys over there. Thinking ahead will help that. Unpopular opinion here though, I think they should sign the guys we've drafted and developed in Jalen McDaniels, PJ, even Mason and Kelly. Everything I remember about basketball says a team that's been together longer developed sustainable winning. Chicago had the three headed monster during those championship years. Three centers that could all start separately or play together in a pinch. Robert Parish, Longley, Cartwright, others along the way. We've never had as many talented centers to throw at teams in the playoffs when we always lacked half court players and would constantly get bullied. Williams is beasting here of late. Nick Richards was killing it earlier in the season. Point Plumley is becoming Melo at the center position. Mason is having a career year under Clifford, the perfect coach for these guys. This is the FIRST time the Hornets have ever had a surplus of centers and PF. Another year or two with this exact squad with nobody getting hurt, I think would be a contender in the East. Unpopular but I'd run it back with the same squad for cohesiveness sake or at least keep our in house guys in McDaniel and PJ.
