If this was Matt Rhule I'd give a serious side eye but Reich, why did we get him if we don't trust him and handcuff him to his second choice IF the stories are true. Smitty and TD may be more in touch with the feelings of the coach who was told it was ultimately up to him, who knows?! Rhule got to make his choices. I'm ok with a real coach making his decision. That's Reich's problem, everyone else below #1 and #2 are salivating all over Richardson and if the Seahawks get him he could be legendary. Stroud could be good but if all of a sudden AR is winning a SB dominating with Pete Carroll and we're doing just ok with STROUD?! I'm on the STROUD wagon but as a HC that is also an OC and former QB coach and former NFL QB, somebody telling me I can't make AR-15 a QB in this league sounds like a challenge!

I hope it's up to Reich. I'd love for him to make this guy a home run. I KNOW Pete Carroll can.

If we're going to "take a chance" on "known deficiencies" ROLL WITH AR-15, not a .380. This would be a silly pick to me. Like I said, back in the day Bryce Young would have been Charlie Batch, having to change positions to make it in the NFL, he played some QB, quite well but the prototypes were enforced back then too.

I agree with you. If Reich thinks he can build a system for AR to start and thrive the mistake may be letting that total weapon go to Pete Carrol instead. I can see what Reich is thinking could be the one that got away. I support the coach on this one. He's developed some pretty good systems and QBs so I've got to trust his eye and his gut here IF this is true. I'm not pounding the table for AR, I just recognize what an advantage he can be IF coached properly for running whatever system was designed FOR him. Let's not forget, had someone built a system around Cam like Chudzinsky who knows what records Cam or the Panthers would have. That was the difference then and Reich feels he could be that difference now for a guy, who the Panthers staff may have had flashbacks with while in his presence. I would really not ignore TD and Smitty on this one either. Maybe one but not both. There is smoke here.

The more I think about it Cam because of his dad/brother was already a more seasoned prospect. Cam went to Florida first, then JUCO, then Auburn. AR has like only 20 or so games iirc. I'll go look back, but thats not a lot of game experience, Levis has almost 40games under his belt. At this point we know more about Levis.

Reich may feel he hasn't been coached to his potential. I get it. Pete Carrol could get AR and use everything STROUD doesn't have and tame that arm/accuracy and he's got the best player in that draft by the end of the season. Pete Carrol would then again be the genius. It could happen.
