  1. Somebody in Portland said that about Jordan right before they picked Sam Bowie instead. If you have the coaching staff and MC9 as a backup why not go with AR-15? I personally have absolutely no doubt Pete Carroll is going to start him, because he can and they will dominate. I'm so sick of Young/Stroud that AR might be a shiney new 6'4"244lb 4.4 running 80yrd throwing monster breath of fresh air when we get him home and none of the others are to be seen until battle. Come battle time, who you got? The little one? No way
  2. Everyone in football is one play away. Looking at it this way and with what you just said, Young doesn't scare me as much IF they're keeping our boy. He's growing up, looking heavier than 212lbs too, hooked up with Jordan brand I see.
  3. How does ANYBODY think Young will survive in the NFL? Someone his size has a very very uphill battle. It hasn't been done, yet THIS is the guy to do it?! There IS no comp yet. He's a scrambler, a time buyer without afterburners. If Young at least ran a 4.3 I could say "escapability" if he gets cornered. He doesn't have elite speed to get away. Y'all want to see this man get killed. Look at Tua, these guys won't even be trying to hurt him but the laws of physics cannot be ignored without great peril. Stop the madness.
  4. Don't be silly. NFL Football is for grown ups. Cool dream though.
  5. For the sake of the argument stopping, although I know different, I'll go ahead and classify Young as 1b, although I know better, just to stop this endless stalemate. I'd appreciate some Hooker insight because there are those that think he's the third best QB.
  6. AR-15 and Levis threads would complete the circle of draft visits. If they didn't love all of them they wouldn't be here.
  7. NFC South is on the Levis wagon. I hope he goes to the AFC.
  8. Stroud, Levis, Richardson are solid enough to where you don't need to take the smallest QB to ever play in the NFL. I get it but college football ISN'T the NFL and it gets much faster and they hit much harder as professional grown men NOT teens.
  9. "As a long suffering Panthers fan, my greatest fear is that the team drafts Young who almost immediately gets pounded the culmaltive effect of which will have him sidelined and ultimately gunshy. I saw how Tua was ragdolled last season. Tua is 6'1" and 213 pounds. The YOUNGSTERS don't understand that the dude is headed for carnage they haven't watched enough football. 180-190lbs is too light for the NFL. It's a cool dream Bryce but not worth the price of the experiment. It's as ridiculous as putting LaMelo Ball in the trenches as a lineman because he's 6'7", but he's only about 190 himself. It could be his dream to play on the offensive line or be a TE, but what are they going to tell him, regardless of skill level?! You'll get killed out there. Someone save Bryce Young, he's being thrown to the much bigger wolves for the entertainment of the YOUNGSTERS who couldn't care less.
  10. I'd bet anything most the YOUNGSTERS are all below 6' and want to see their dreams realized.
  11. People are making more excuses for Bryce Young than anyone else, suspect, hope we don't fall for it. Bryce Young IS a underdog story. Not a #1 pick. Not because of stats or skills but slight frame and 4-5inches shorter than the average QB. How long has he been playing football, don't you think he's been trying to keep weight? I'm all for big dreams and little bodies but not in the top ten.
  12. I can't watch that man, especially when I can see it coming a mile away.
  13. Taking NFL hits being 20-40lbs less than everyone hitting you?! It's going to add up and not in the Youngsters Math Camp favor. Does he have any other hobbies?
  14. The "YOUNGSTERS" are desperately trying to convince us that less is more. Dumb move. Not big enough for the NFL. He should get into bowling. What's next?? The best 5'10" volleyballer?! It won't work he's not playing against future salesmen or accountants the NFL is full of physical freaks, ya boy , sooner than later will get smashed. If he were my son I'd be excited for him but that reality that he's fighting out of his weight class would be terrifying. Some fans don't care they just want to "see" him do it. I DON'T want to see it happen, but it's likely, that's why I rather it happen in another uniform. Heard the Texans like Will Anderson so all the Bryce hype and gamesmanship may be for not.
  15. The average height isn't 5'10" and the NFL average weight isn't 190. Your asking a dog to fight bears. Every dog has his day not days, weeks, months, years.
  16. Too small. The smallest. This isn't math camp, skills will matter less because the physicality takes a large jump from being tackled by a future accountant.
  17. This would be Zach Wilson level stupid unless they're trading the #1. I don't believe the hype.
  18. Hope we're not as dumb as the Jets who took the Zach Wilson bait from the media talking heads.
  19. Trying to set us up for failure so others can reap the rewards.
  20. 15-1. Superbowl was for Payton. Best team in football be damned.
  21. Just like Chud did with Cam, IF you have the coach who can BUILD a system around a talented QB, AR is the best pick of the draft totally worth the #1. IF this was the Panthers previous staff or even Rivera's staff I'd say pass on this Cam because you wouldn't know what to do with him or you'll continue to slam a round peg into a square hole like Shula and Rivera. Chud was smart, he designed everything to Cams strengths, he designed everything for Cam off the two tight end sets and cloaked designed runs. IF this staff can be Chud for AR instead of Shula for Cam, his ceiling will be the sky.
  22. Russ was supposed to sit and won the job in camp with Carroll. AR can start with Pete, he's already had success with Russ, AR is a whole different more powerful animal. He will take the job, Pete has no problem with him winning it.
