  1. Who Bill Belichick? I would have started Cam too. At least 3 or so more years. He doesn't need my help. Obviously.
  2. Who? Tepper? Rhule? Glick? Fitterer? Yeah, not a good track record so far. I could help them.
  3. BPA, trade up into late middle/late first for your QB. Parsons or Pitts could be there at #8. Those are franchise changers, can't pass em' up. One of those hyped QBs will drop though. Will the Panthers follow the hype? Yes. Yes they will. Kiper pumped Jimmy Clausen up in such a way the hype train was rolling. I want stats. TDs. Measurables. Not hype
  4. A shorter QB has to see around guys to see passing lanes. A taller guy has that vantage point and the one above the line. That's why guys like Cam and Luck could just fire these downward passes from a high release point.
  5. That's why the big boys get big money. Equal talent in a bigger player wins.
  6. Obviously I'd take Lance and Trask over Wilson with durability concerns especially without the best line play.
  7. No because he has a strong arm and falls within the prototype. 6'4" 225. Your lineman are usually 6'4"+. I know the guy in Arizona is 5'5" but how many Muggsy's are there? Not many.
  8. Also QB is about reading, reacting, seeing the field, and a quick release. That's how Brady wins. That's how 6'5" 240lb 4300yrd 43TD and only 8INTs Kyle Trask plays the game.
  9. What Rhule was doing in college doesn't work in the NFL. You have to get the BIGGEST, the STRONGEST, the FASTEST. To compete in this league. That's the prototype. Others have tried and failed at that in the NFL.
  10. They think it's easy. KC took 50yrs to get back to the Superbowl. What? Those guys weren't smart? Those guys didn't work hard, didn't want it? There is a reason there are prototypes. Cam was one. Lawrence is one. Lance is one and so is Trask (ppl don't agree, it's ok). Outliers only beat the odds only sometimes. As a day one Panther fan myself, I'm very disappointed and disheartened and soon to be apathetic. Outside the box is sometimes just as it describes "outside" the playoffs, championships.
  11. Pitts had like 750yrds this year iirc. 4300-750=3550 yrds That's still pretty damn good even without Pitts, much better than most of his peers. He may not be flashy but he's a much better QB than teh huddle gives credit for. Another one of those QBs people will be wondering about why he wasn't picked by the genius bottom feeder NFL teams.
  12. It's hard to negotiate ANYTHING when EVERYONE knows you're desperate. The price gets very high. Tepper and crew really fuggd up. PantherNation isn't happy, but it wasn't about OUR happiness was it? They banked on CMC being the boxoffice draw. Great guy, but you don't pick a RB to be the face of the franchise. Only about 10 or so teams have a real franchise QB, including the Patriots. You just can't cast away a franchise QB because you think you can do better. Most teams that have been bottom feeding for decades haven't had a good enough QB in forever and know the pain of not even having a Cam Newton or anybody close to decent. QB is the toughest position to fill. Panthers fans know that, the newbie ownership and FO, not so much.
  13. Trask has an arm but he's more technical and goes through his reads very quickly, has a very high release point with a very quick release. THATS how he got 4300 yrds 43TDs and only 8INTS playing against the best college teams, Bama, LSU. The Steelers see Trask as a 6'5" 240lb Big Ben replacement. He won't be there in the third and will not make it through the second if he gets past the Steelers.
  14. There will be plenty of QBs to draft at #8. Just pick the best one. He may turn out to be better than the overly hyped guys I'd say having so many choices is a good thing, a real GM/coach/scout should be able to pick out a diamond. The bottom feeding teams follow the hype. That's why they always end up picking early and always need a QB after having just drafted one.
  15. Marty said f' da cov and was at Justin Herbert's pro day. THAT was the right move.
