  1. That's huge and comes from learning. He signed off on letting Kemba walk. I was mad about that. It ended up being the best move. Gotta give credit where credit is due. The team image, uniforms, atmosphere at the arena, all better because of MJ. I've been to many old Hornets games and Bob Johnson Bobcats games, when MJ took over the arena became more of a party atmosphere every game win or lose. I'm giving MJ credit for what the Hornets are now, much more flashy, court and all, now more firepower than ever with a real GM and a good up and coming coach who is getting better. Miles Bridges, LaMelo, good decisions.
  2. Mike, remember all those people saying you couldn't run a team or pick players?! Where they at???
  3. Will WE be there at 11?! (High trade possibility) Garza is a late first rounder, probably a second round guy this year. Being that most of the top echelon will be guards and forwards this year, bigs are going be a bargain. Not saying it's going to be easy to get Garza or Cockburn, somebody will target both, but as of now both are project to be AFTER the first round, plus there are other bigs "rated" higher than them.
  4. Wrong. Jordan hired Mitch who began to turn it around BEFORE LaMelo. It's a good situation because the groundwork was laid beforehand. The Hornets aren't all of a sudden the squad because of a lucky #3. Mitch will continue until you eat crow. Center, Center, Center.
  5. If y'all remember, I said before the season we either have Sean Livingston or Magic Johnson. I think we have that answer. Remember also his dad started his career here in Charlotte as a Panther.
  6. After Stephen Curry and the current reach of the internet socially AND the exponential growth of Charlotte, the city, the "big market" doesn't matter to today's player. Miles Bridges and Lamelo Ball are huge names in today's NBA, they aren't suffering from a lack nationwide fame. So if your no longer locked out because you're a "Charlotte Hornet" instead of a "Knick or Bull" and you're getting your $ and you love your team why leave?
  7. He's doing some TV about it. Behind the scenes. Still flexing the wrist I see.
  8. Nah, uniforms too fresh for that. They're not going to make that mistake though. He'll get everything and more without question.
  9. That would be the right move. You can still load up on center in the second and thirds because there's a ton of centers to choose from throughout the 2nd,3rd,etc in this draft. There is a lot of potential and depth at C in this year.
  10. Trade that # 11 for Kristaps and use the second rounder on my man Kofi Cockburn.

  12. Yeah, he's a beanpole. His shot blocking is off the charts though! He's almost 7' and only weighs 206, I'm 9" shorter and heavier by 30lbs. Lack of weight may make him a 4. Kentucky guys on our team haven't been consistent though. They can show up big and all but disappear the next night. We are stocking up on bigs and this draft looks like it has more bigs than you could shake a stick at.
  13. https://zonahoops.com/2021/05/03/ranking-the-top-10-centers-in-the-2021-nba-draft/ Just another perspective. My man Kofi Cockburn is flying under the radar.
  14. Those trees you speak of are becoming new houses by the minute.
  15. I'm a fan of former Panthers working in the organization first of all so for Chase to continue to work and stay in the area means that much more. I hope he can build the best ST since Scott O'Brien.
  16. Good. Cheap. He was just killing it with the Blazers. Don't know what happened there.
  17. Whiteside has been beasting. I know people say this and that but aside from his present motivation that produced a career year for him, playing for his hometown Hornets with a guard like LaMelo may hush that fuss.
  18. I think he's settled in and sees a dome doesn't make sense. Plus, when you don't have a "star" pushing sales your goals become more conservative obviously.
  19. See, I can work with that. 6'11" 265lbs. Heavyweight. More suited to be an NBA center. Great production in limited minutes. This is a Center. Going on potential based on limited minutes on a stacked roster he has put in some work. Guys like Garza and Cockburn are more proven. Started longer. But this guy has the NBA Center body. Some nights he'll overpower that 215lb #1 pick of yours if they put him at 5. I generally think you've got to be 250+lbs to be effective against the other bigs. If you're looking for a Center start with the scale.
